They'd have to carry Bruce out kicking and screaming, he'll never retire willingly (unfortunately).

Oh, notnotnot Graham Norton, please! Whatever he's like on his own show (and I think he's a lot better on that this year), he would be a DISAAAAARRRRSTER on SCD, much to in-your-face and full of himself. He's still too fond of getting cheap and easy laughs at other people's expense.

I think everyone's right about Bruce staying for the 10th anniversary series, though.

Oh, and ITT has been so much better this year, with Zoe.

I'd like Claude and Tess to host the main show if Bruce decides to retire. They both do a great job on the results show and I think they have good chemistry together.
Claudia Winkleman is not a bad 'character actor' but she is not mainstream and she certainly can't carry a show. Look at the ratings for the Film Show since she took over. Definitely NOT Claudia

No gravitas, no chemistry.

Next year is not only Strictly's 10th anniversary but also Bruce's 70th year in show business so I think there's absolutely no chance of anyone else hosting it unfortunately.

I wouldnt mind Bruce doing another year or two if he wants to

I actually think he has improved from the earlier seriees

Ramps Microphone and one or two other improvs show that he is on the ball

But if & when he retires (assumming SCD continues that long)

Perhaps Jim Davidson could be tempted back from Dubai
I think I read he is living there because its cheaper and I think the taxman wiped him out

I suspect this might be a controversal thought but he did follow the noble Knight onto the Generation game (and ruined it)

To be strictly acurate he stood in for Bruce once maybe twice when Bruce had a sore throat ( I cant spell what the theatrical luvvies call it) and Bruce recovered remarkably quickly and JD followed Larry grayson and i have a vague memory of Les Dawson doing some too

perhaps I wasnt so strictly accurate after all

so I guess you take your pick if the BBC are leaning to the right the year that Bruce retires Then JD is your man and if they are leaning to the left Perhaps Vince Cable will be needing a job that year and if they go for the Housewives choice perhaps it will be aimable Anton

But maybe i would have a £5 each way outsiders bet of Russell Grant and Anne Widdecombe with for the benefit of those that see it as more of a dance competition than Saturday night entertainment Vincent hosting ITT

i am not a WUM - A WUM I am not

It takes two should Keep Zoe Ball found her so much better than Claudia.
I'd agree.

Among many other things, I thought she and Ian worked much better together than Claudia and Len...

Anton would make a great judge
Argh!

Anton should go into the construction business - I'd like him to be in the concrete foundations of a bridge somewhere...

Whoever replaces Brucie after next season, s/he will have to bring his/her own style of presentation to the role. I don't want to see a different body delivering Bruce's lines.

I HAD great fondness for Brucie from my younger years and I dislike seeing him decline in his capabilites. I really wish he would retire as I don't want to see him get any worse and I don't care that it is the 10th anniversary he will be another year older and another bit slower next year.

To replace him will be difficult there are lots who have the capabilities , sadly most are a bit Marmite but perhaps we should all record the show and whizz through whom ever gets Bruces job

I don't mind presenting it! I don't do anything else on Saturday nights apart from watch Strictly anyway! And I do it for half the pay!

Being honest I want them to keep Bruce and maybe Tess. It just wouldn't be the same without Bruce, even though I don't particularly like him. And Tess? Well, meh, I don't take much notice of her. Karen would make a great host if they axed the Red Button Commentary.

I also love Zoe on ITT, even though I did like Claudia too!

If anyone is to replace Bruce though it HAS to be Anton. I agree with some of the other suggestions (Bradley Walsh, John Partridge) but I feel it'd be better if they replaced him with someone already associated with the show
