As for Graham Norton, he would be my choice. He has proved himself on such shows as ALW's Joseph, Nancy etc. I have always felt that he has reigned himself in and I have been pleasantly surprised by his interaction with both the contestants and judges. And the BBC pay him a fortune so it would be a way of getting their monies worth.
Another one to add to the camp brigade would be Julian Clary. I would prefer him to both John Barrowman and John Partridge.
Thinking outside the box maybe Alesha, she is presenting a dance show on childrens TV.”
Thinking logically about it, the increase in ratings has had nothing to do with Bruce or Tess.
They have been as naff or brilliant as different people perceive, as they were last year.
I like Bruce but he doesn't actually contribute that much to the enjoyment of the programme.
It's been the revamping of the show that has made all the difference to the ratings, the BBC's main preoccupation.
"Star" names command big salaries and the BBC are s'pposed to be on an economy drive..... not that you'd notice, so I can't see the likes of Norton being given the job if Bruce decides to step down. They may decide they don't really need a big name to say "Next up we have...."
