Who decided this?

I don't agree, go and listen to his red button commentary for Mavia's salsa and Mattesha's ccc on You Tube and you'll realise not only can he not dance latin that well - he can't judge it well either.

Sir Brucie isn't going anywhere. I don't why people waste their time pretending they have a choice in who presents SCD.

You are right, the BBC want to keep him, they've let him just front the main programme, no hanging about and having to get changed for the half hour programme recorded for Sunday.
Can't see them agreeing to that for anyone else.

He'll be quite happy with that until he decides it's time to go.

Sir Bruce for one last season next year.

Beyond that...

Jason Donovan?

They'd have to extend the programme as he'd never be able to keep up with the auto-cue.

Bruce can stay as long as he cuts out the scripted 'jokes'.

Tess out, Zoe in, and Russell for ITT.

I'll agree to that as that's exactly how it should be.

Graham Norton, John Barrowman, Jon Partridge.
Great - an hour and a half of 'back passage' jokes.

....for me there can be only one. Step forward - Basil Brush.

The lines will be dead, cremated, buried, built over and used by sewer rats as nest bedding before any archaeologists get to the remains.

We have overdosed injudiciously on a substance, methinks.

There's a new producer next year, perhaps someone who can read, - somebody who can undo all the naffness of the current two series and who will sweep Old Father Time out with the withered leaves of Things That Had Not Worked.

You are dreaming.
"Everything" has worked.

Expect the only thing to change will be the likelihood of an increase in naffness.
Naffness equals increased ratings, it's been proved this year, "the only thing that matters" to the BBC.

If anything, expect Bruce and Tess to be even more naff.

What do you think this is, Come Dancing?

The new producer needs to start with a revamp of the judging panel

Craig- Must stay. The most consistent and realistic judge of the lot. Promote him to head judge

Len - needs to go- some of his marking is becoming increasingly erratic. Bring in Ian Waite

Alesha - needs to go- her favouritism and overmarking makes her without any credibility. Karen Hardy please

Bruno - Can stay providing he is tied to a chair and given a shot of valium every week

Revert to the original format of each couple doing on of two dances per week- week three is too soon to have them doing different dances

Keep the AT and Charleston for the semi finals

Give Bruce & Tess a big thankyou and say have a rest now- bring in Chris Hollins as host and Claudia as his sidekick. But tell Claudia - no toffee wrapper outfits

Sir Bruce is a towering figure of light entertainment. I understand there are children who don't respect age and experience. But why would any adult imagine the BBC want to change hosts? They'll be happy if he carries on until he has to be carried out. Bruce will only go when he wants to go.

Why would they make such sweeping changes on the back of their two highest-rated series?

The show was revamped to halt the decline in viewers, and it succeeded magnificently.

Because I think there has been some dumbing down- and that is wrong. Best producer the show ever had was Karen Smith

Totally disagree, which is unusual for me. Anton just does not cut it as a presenter and there is such an air of false charm about him. He may be a vry nice man but he would not be right as a presenter for this show.

As for Graham Norton, he would be my choice. He has proved himself on such shows as ALW's Joseph, Nancy etc. I have always felt that he has reigned himself in and I have been pleasantly surprised by his interaction with both the contestants and judges. And the BBC pay him a fortune so it would be a way of getting their monies worth.

Another one to add to the camp brigade would be Julian Clary. I would prefer him to both John Barrowman and John Partridge.

Thinking outside the box maybe Alesha, she is presenting a dance show on childrens TV.

Thinking logically about it, the increase in ratings has had nothing to do with Bruce or Tess.
They have been as naff or brilliant as different people perceive, as they were last year.
I like Bruce but he doesn't actually contribute that much to the enjoyment of the programme.

It's been the revamping of the show that has made all the difference to the ratings, the BBC's main preoccupation.

"Star" names command big salaries and the BBC are s'pposed to be on an economy drive..... not that you'd notice, so I can't see the likes of Norton being given the job if Bruce decides to step down. They may decide they don't really need a big name to say "Next up we have...."
