If either of them deserved 40, then Harry's VW did too....

In actual fact I think they all deserved 39...
Also Holly's AT deserved more than it got.

I understand that Los Ocampos (Monica and Omar) helped with both ATs tonight.

After giving Harry 39 there was nowhere else to go for the judges but the perfect score for superior dances by Chelsee and Jason.

I thought they were both brilliant...not usually crazy about Jasons dances but I thought it was fab, really intense.

Chelsee should have been marked higher than Jason but neither deserved 40, Chelsee 38/39, Jason 36 at best, all he dome was carry Kristina around the floor.

The only dance worthy of a 40 was Harry's VW and had he been dancing last (Unlike Jason who is constantly dancing either last or second to last) he would have scored 40
Harry was already overmarked on his VW, his head was in a funny position the whole dance, it reminded me of one of those lego figures when the head get stuck half way round, he also had a strained blank expression on his face all the way through.
I know he has the rhythm and places his feet in the right place but he has zero connection with the dance or his partner.
I have only ever enjoyed one of his dances throughout the series, and that was his QS , imo he has been over praised and overmarked the whole series, and he does not even need the points as we all know he is going to walk it anyhow.

I would like to see Chelsee win, but I feel if Jason had have danced first that AT would not have been a 40

I thought Holly's AT was better than Jason's and could have deserved 37 or 38.

Its all subjective - what one person sees another does not, and they really dont understand why marks arent as they think. Personally I went 100 per cent with the judges tonight. I think Chelsee did a great paso and Id like to say the same abt Jason but someone ANNOYINGLY tried to phone me as his dance started and I wasnt giving it 100 per cent concentration (not that I answered the phone!) But it did look good.

I thought both were good, thought Jason's lapels were a bit odd but nevertheless still good

Couldn't agree more.

Jason's AT was (as someone else mentioned) desperate, not passionate. Feel for the guy, as it wasn't the first dance he's done that felt that way - to me at least.

Couldnt disagree more, I thought Jason's AT was full on intense and passionate, strictly brilliant and well deserved scores.

I could understand her getting 40 (but it could have been 39) but Jason's 40 just puzzled and amazed me. I expected maybe 36, four 9's. I think the judges decided they wanted him in the final rather than Holly and that would put him there ahead of her.
Totally disagree. I could feel Jason's but Chelsee's left me cold. her arms were beautiful but I couldn't fathom her facial expression.

Just caught up and my favourite dance of the night was Chelsee & Pasha's American Smooth. It was hauntingly beautiful. I had goosebumps. Without the mistake, that would have been my 40 of the night.

That's not to say I didn't think Chelsee's Paso and Jason's Argentine Tango weren't excellent, they were. But in years to come, I'm not sure they'll be amongst the dances I remember most vividly. It all boils down to personal taste though, and I think being in the studio can probably make a difference too. Alesha's reaction to both Jason's AT and Holly's Paso last week suggests that to truly feel the impact of some dances you have to be there.

That's not actually true if you look back on the series.
Why can Harry's fans not be happy that he had the highest score overall?

Chelsee/Pasha and Jason/Kristina were all amazing.

I loved both.
But Jason's just didn't merit the 4 10's....9's maybe, that's all.

I agree. I too thought the AS was hauntingly beautiful and full of emotional truth. It had so much artistry and content that I would forgive the small mistake. I was far less impressed with either of the 40 dances and would have marked both of Harry's higher than those.

I couldn't believe Craig brought out the 10 for Jason but, never did for Mark and Ricky! Kristina was fantastic but, Jason looked clumsy in places especially the part where he slapped his foot. I know you shouldn't bring up past dances but, it's very difficult not feel that some of your fave dances have been short-changed.

Chelsee's Paso was fantastic. On second viewing I could see a few tiny mistakes but, the mood the pair of them created was hypnotic. Like Bruno said the Flemenco part of that dance was superb and I wanted her to carry on. I really could have watched them dance that routine all night, and that's why I agreed with the 40.

Re Chelsee agree with every word Sid. Prior to the semi final I forecast that the AS would be the first dance to score 40 and tbh wasn't sure that Chelsee could get into character for the Paso. I was almost right - just got them back to front, but if not for that small mistake she could have achieved two perfect scores. Still perhaps that is best kept for the final.

Hey, how's my bit of totty?

I'm torn between wanting to see Chelsee's American Smooth again and her Quickstep....both so different but equally memorable (and potential 40s without the minor flaws).

Maybe our girl's in with a chance after all? Top up your phone for the final!

I agree. It was the first dance by Jason that I've really enjoyed or rated this year. Perhaps Chelsee's Paso was slightly better, but Jason surprised me so much with his AT that I don't begrudge him the marks.
I've also never been much of a fan of Kristina, but I must admit she was stunning in that routine.

I'd be happy with either, but I've been longing to see her perform the Quickstep again since she first performed it. I really adored it. I do hope we get to see it again.

I've rewatched that QS so often that I could probably fill in for Pasha

There's more scope for improvement than Harry's QS, so strategically, it might be the one to go for.

Decisions, decisions!

True, and I donīt even think that Kristina was that great either (it looked like she wanted to hump Jason ).
Are you serious?

Another in agreement. Their AS just made me all tingly where I noticed one arm was very straight all the time in the Paso.

Yes, not a popular opinion, but the difference in quality between her and someone like Flavia is quite big (imho).
