Maybe, following the news that he and Ola are not needed on the tour, they've been told they are not needed next year? It might explain, but not condone his behaviour, which was uncalled for.

It's a shame he acts the way he does, because he is apparently a really nice guy. Brian Fortuna spoke fondly about how James took him under his wing when he first arrived in the UK, and I think Brian even stayed at Chez Jordan for a little while. And he does seem to have a good friendship with the other pros. But on camera he gets overexcited.

Still loving James and I think his behaviour is a welcome antidote to the lashings and lashings of false sincerity / hype that characterises SCD.
Particularly loved the way he took the piss out of Jason's musing over whether or not to switch on the waterworks during his final 'reflection' of the evening. I get why the contestants engage in pleading to their 'audience' but I still like to see it lampooned at every opportunity.

given the celeb's he and Ola were given this year I think their talent as teachers is clear. And actually some of James's rants have been deserved. I suspect craig took on board what james said or was told to as look how his comments tended to include encouragement. Len and Alesha were a disgrace and need replacing.
Maybe if some of you listened to Karen Hardy's comments on his choreography you might look on him slightly differently. He and Brendan have actually tried and to some extent succeeded in making the comments include encouragement and how to correct. sugestion move Karen into Len's seat, Put James in Choreography corner and red button. |

I'm in the minority I know but I like James- I thought he was mostly joking when he made the comment about Craig not liking him when they were talking to Tess. The main thing that annoys me about him is his hairstyle!
I'd be sad to not see him and Ola next series. |

Jason and Kristina did a very emotive dance and were obv still in the moment when they got a deserved 4x10 from the judges, so it was extremely annoying that James was acting the fool in their spotlight. I thought it childish and extremely irritating.

I LOVE James Jordan I admit I wasn't keen at first - but since he did a commentary thing from Blackpool he has in my eyes been tons better.
No-one has a go at Anton for his tomfoolery and Lampooning - James does it so much "tongue in cheek" ![]() I sincerely hope both he and Ola are back next year - in fact DON'T change ANY of the pros they have got it spot on this series

Dump James and bring back the gorgeous Matthew Cutler. Matthew is charming but James appears to be full of himself gives himself the biggest tick and probably looks in the mirror and does an - "I'm too sexy for my shirt" routine. Good dancer - shame about the personality.

James isn't stupid, he knows that if he plays the bad boy he becomes controversial and gets the producers vote as it becomes a topic for the forums (like this one) and gets more free publicity. The fact that he is a bore, way too arrogant and rude beyond being entertaining is neither here not there, If you don't like it just do what I do, tape the whole show, then watch the dances, fast forward all the rest of the dross we now have to put up with especially Bruce, Bruno on speed and the awful VTs. That way you get the perfect show, wonderful dances and wonderful Craig's comments. I personally can't stand James, I even turn off ITT if he's on - he's had two or three great partners but perhaps he needs to look at his own behaviour to see why he is so unpopular.

He did appear to be taking the piss out of Jason, and whilst a lot of people on here have done the same, it was a bit rude on national tv.
Of course, we don't know if it's some kind of "running joke" between them, so perhaps we should give him the benefit of the doubt ? Whan you bring an in joke to a wider audience who have no idea of the backstory and innyness of it, then you just end up looking a bit of a plank, basically. |

Maybe ... but if so, I think what someone needs to explain to James is that in jokes are just that, understood by a small group of people.

I quite like James, but he crossed the line pulling funny faces behind Jason and then leaning closer so his face was right over his shoulder. It took the focus of Jason and Kristina, which was rightfully theirs. Why didn't he get a clue when Aliona tried to pull him back and said something to him? It was stupid to try and interact with Jason again - he came across as a right attention seeking idiot.

Yes James can be over-the-top at times. That's his personality! No one should change their personality to suit others, but a few tweaks might be a good idea.

James may well be a hilarious messer ( I see more stupid plonker ) but he sure over stepped the mark last night and his" hilarious messing " was so wrong time , wrong place last nigth . Aliona tried to pull him back and in fact said something , Alex tried and I think a third person tried at one stage and still James didnt cop on that he really was making an almighty bloody eejit of himself . |

I've always quite liked James but he does seem to have been dragged up. His parents don't appear to have instilled basic good manners into him.
Some posters have said they worry about FMs who complain about his manners, but I think they should worry elsewhere. This is a family show, and I think it is a bad example to young people watching. Sorry if that doesn't suit, but I feel strongly it should be said.It shouldn't be necessary to explain that they are all good friends really and all of that. People can understand that perfectly well, and still object at the same time. Jason took it in good part, but he would have to anyway. I think he was a little unsure about it myself. As for Brendan, he is usually a gentleman, but when he's behind Tess with James his behaviour deteriorates. Very schoolboy behaviour and they are no longer schoolboys. I fail to see how gibbering like monkeys behind the other contestants is funny, and maybe it's true they are egged on to behave like this, who knows? Good job the producer is going if that is the case. James is losing the support he had from me and no doubt others if he carries on like this. As other posters have said, some of the other pros seemed to think his behaviour was OTT, and whether this is the case or not, they should have done. |

James definitely crossed the line last night, the mocking of Jason was uncalled for. Although I disagreed with his rants at the judges, I could at least see that, in his mind, it was justified. But last night's display of bad manners, to say the least was unnecessary. Time for James to go, although I really like Ola. Hopefully, if she watches it back, there will be a few harsh words from the missus.

Given the fact that they have been working in close proximity for such a long preiod there will be in jokes and things we will never be party to. And given they are standing in Tess's area for so long some horse play is bound to take place.
You just come across as a bit of a camera hogging attention seeker, that's all. Is it just me, or is the mucking about during the interviews/scores happening much more this year than before? |

I've never been able to bear him, get rid next year please - Brenda is enough 'bad boy' for this show |

I completely appreciate that, but what I said was given in-jokes are only funny to the people in the 'in', if you don't want to come across as a bit of a plank don't do it in front of the cameras when it's being shown to a lot of people who have no way of knowing what the joke actually is.
