My jaw actually dropped watching Chelsee and Pasha. She is an incredible dancer, totally deserved the four 10's.

This is great. it really is easier to compare them after watching them all four back to back.

i actually think because 9's came out for alex first dance it forced all the scores high for the others all night. consistently been overmarked our alex has. craig being the only one scoring correctly.

I can see why Chelsee is being compared to Jill as they both did what I call a Bull Paso. Where Artem choreographed cape pasos for both Kara & Holly.

One thing watching all of them back to back like that was the straight arm was something both Jill & Chelsee did, where the expected curved arms were best done by Kara.

I'm sorry, but that's the silliest thing I have ever read. Ballet dancers not 'grounded'? I wonder how they manage to pull off a series turns en pointe without falling over then.

I think you must mean in ballet you dance up and in flamenco and latin you dance down into the ground?

As an ex ballet dancer who mastered first flamenco then salsa (4 styles) and then AT - and managed to train to teach American social ballroom - I'm actually wondering how much about ballet you really know? I have never found the transition impossible. What exactly is your experience of this? I'd love to know. Please share. I am sure we can all earn something from this.

If this was a gold medal exam then only dance achievement and artistic presentation by the celeb should be marked. If the full package is to be rated then Spanishness, choreography, music choice, costume, and partner would come into it.

Three dances out of four made me very happy, including Jill (38). Two out of four sent tingles down my spine, including the Zorro-esque presence of Holly (39) with an intermezzo without music.

The ultimate winner for me was Kara. Her paso was not pure Spanish and the execution not necessarily flawless. But Kara as dancer and woman touches my heart where no celeb ever could before or since.

40 for Kara even if she stands still.

Nobody's paso tops Austin and Erin's.

Not even Kara's.

And Ms Plastic Surgery doesn't even come close to either of those ...

Very interesting to see them one after the other! I would have Kara top, followed by Jill, then Holly then Chelsee.

Why exactly is that 'rude'?

Chelsee has obviously had plastic surgery and, indeed, has remarked upon it. So why should referring to it be deemed as in any way impolite?

I commented at the start of the series on the number of female contestants who had cosmetic enhancement. I think it looks unnatural and I certainly don't understand why someone of Chelsee's age would think it even necessary. It's not like she had been in some appalling accident or something - she did it out of vanity and insecurity ... and if a public figure feels so badly about themselves that they want to go under the knife, they obviously open themselves up to people commenting on it.

She also regrets it. In this situation a lack of confidence resulted in the work. Now her confidence has said "stuff it" to any reversal.

When she did those lovely rapid Flamenco steps I went all goosebumpy. Just watched it again and the same thing happened. She does all the dances with such ease it is a joy to watch.

Nothing tops Kara's paso for me. I did love Chelsee's though and Jill's, of course. I don't think there is a single Jill dance I don't love. I never got the Austin paso hype.

For what it's worth (and I quite liked him) Austen's paso did nothing for me - all style and no substance.

You did not "refer" to it,you wielded it as in an insult.

So by implication, you are saying the perfect 40 (ten by Craig) to Chelsee and Jason were 'correctly scored'?

I think it was the best Paso since Jill's, but Kara's was very good too. I'll also put in a word for Ramps' Paso which, whilst not as good, was still pretty decent and gets overlooked a lot.

Looking at the 4 pasos posted by soulmate I would put Kara and Jill 1st followed by Holly and then Chelsee...

That's not an insult. It's a legitimate remark to make about someone who chose to have cosmetic surgery done. I'd gladly make it, or similar comments about others who have had had their features enhanced: Lulu, Patsy Kensit, etc.

Sorry if that upsets you - but living in the public eye invites comments. And what I said was pretty mild compared to some things I've read ...

Chelsee performs very well - but, rather like when Leslie Ash got her features surgically altered, what she looks like is a constant distraction for me. And SCD is not purely about performance. It's a reality series where we are invited to invest in the contestants. And I rather struggle to invest in a young woman who chose to have her features altered becaue she didn't feel happy with who she was/is. Especially when there was nothing wrong with how she looked ...

If it doesn't bother you, fine. But please don't dismiss others' opinions as irrelevant just because you don't agree with them ...
