Pasha is the best addition to the male pros since Matt Cutler and Ian Waite left. Pros outdancing clebs is one of my pet hates. On the Wednesday's ITT before their Jive Ian said that Chelsee is not up to his speed yet and Zoe said exactly what I was thinking "how the hell is she supposed to get up that speed" - but she did (still can't believe that she got up to that pace so quickly).

He has given her difficult routines all the way through the comp. and she has coped really well with that level. On the same WWW Ian also said that she was a little tense/tight on some spins and they were changed in the actual dance. Ian drawing attention to a possible weakness would also have drawn the attention of other people so Pasha removed them from the dance to avoid that criticism - he always seems to know when to push her with difficult moves and when it's best not to.

3+ months later (!), just realised that Pasha is the same Pasha from the US SYTYCD I watched a few years back. Loved him then, even better now. Loved his hip hop routine with Lauren.

Only confirmed it by checking Youtube tonight. I just thought it was someone who looked very similar with the same name. Seriously though, I didn't think they'd use a former contestant as a Pro dancer so thought it was a remarkable coincidence.

You may not know that Artem is also from SYTYCD, and Aliona auditioned but didn't get to the live shows.

But Pasha and Anya were high ranking Latin dancers in the States before they ever auditioned for SYTYCD, so it's not surprising that he would draw the attention of other dance shows such as BTF and SCD.

I have no doubt that a lot of Chelsee's votes are coming from fans of Pasha - and nothing to do with dancing.

And of course people who vote for Harry purely because he's the best dancer since sliced bread, not because they fancy him. Oh no.

the same can be said for all the pros who have a fanbase ... I'm sure all of the votes Anton gets aren't solely for his partner

and like others have some of the "celebs" come with a ready made fanbase or people voting for them for reasons other than their dancing


on the subject of this thread I agree that Pasha is a great choreographer ........ as is Artem
