My opinion only but I thought Harry and Alion'a Viennese Waltz was pretty perfect.
Chelsee was excellent and Jason was pretty good but, again in my opinion, not the best dances of the night.

agreed it was the most beautiful waltz i have ever seen on strictly

It was a ten for me, but whatever, there are a lot of scores that I don't agree with. He topped the leaderboard, that's the important thing.

I thought you were talking about Holly and Artem's AT. For me, the dance of the night!

I thought both Harry and Aliona's dances deserved 40.

I think it will just make their fans vote all the more, and they were top of the leaderboard, so I don't think it will ruin their chances of making the final

The problem Harry had is that he had two understated dances and he danced first. His charslton was danced and performed very well but it was a bit like Kara's Charleston without any gimmicks or props and that is costly compared to others more flashy dances. His VW was breathtaking but again it is understated when you compare it to a Paso or an AT.
Holly's AT was excellent imho. As a dance better than Jason's, but Jason technically danced it a tad better.

I'm with you there, I was staggered that it got 40.

Did not mention Holly and Artem's AT because it wasn't awarded 40 marks but both my mum and I preferred her version to Jason's.
Hello.

I agree so much, it was perfect.

As for Holly's AT, I don't get the praise on here. I didn't like it very much. There wasn't much to it. In fact I prefered both Harry's and Chelsee's ATs from earlier in the series to Holly's and Jason's.

Sorry didnnt do it for me and he made a mistake. but Holly and Artem's AT deserved a 40 imo. Still well done to Jason & Chelsea you both deserved it

Yes, I completely agree, but that is part of the choreography, and we are not supposed to judge the choreo, are we? Technically he danced the steps well, even though there weren't that many steps to be danced if you know what I mean.

Totally agree in terms of dance, Harry's and Chelsee's were beautiful.

Chelsee made many mistakes and her flamenco bits were bellow par. I am not saying that harry should have got a 40, but if Chelsee got them so should he.

I agree there.
And I really liked Holly's AT. But again it suffered from the same problem of being too understated compared to a Paso or that dramatic AT music Jason had. The chair part of Holly's AT was very difficult too!

Well, to be fair Mark's infamous AT didn't have much more AT in it. But's it's got very hyped up, even-thogh we've seen better ATs come and go over the series. A man's job in AT is to lead the woman. He doesn't get as much gimmick and attention as the woman does.

I thought Harry's VW was great, but it's not a dance that grabs the attention..not mine anyway.
Both Chelsee's Paso and Jason's AT did make me sit up and take notice. and I would have marked them higher. In the case of Jason, I thought the choreography of the entire routine was gripping, but that may have overshadowed any lack of real content from Jason. But I'm no expert, and the judges are supposed to there to mark the celebrity, not to judge the dance as a spectacle in the way I would.

I couldn't agree more. At first I did not think the music would work. I thought that it would be too slow but I was so wrong. It gave me goosebumps. Brendan and Artem both said 'wow' when H&A arrived in Tess' area and one of the pros shouted 4 tens.

Finally!!!!! I mean I love that AT but the word over hyped doesn't even come close. Part of the hype though I think is the fact that he looked like a proper argentine man and that he being the celeb meant that he did not have the mannerism that most of the male pros (bar Vincent) have when dancing the AT. he looked like a proper red blooded male.

If there has been a AT that is been technically amazing and perfectly danced imho that would be Rachel and vincent, although they had the huge advantage of him being the AT expert.

Please tell me where there was a mistake because I have watched it 4 times and not seen a hint of a mistake. None of the 4 judges mentioned a mistake and Craig (who definitely would have mentioned a mistake if there was one) could only find fault with his neck.
If it didn't do it for you, fair enough, but would you also say that there were no mistakes in the dances that were awarded 40?

Craig also said that the head thing was more a personal choice, so I thought after he said that the 10 might still come out, but nope!

I don't think any dance deserved 40 last night, including Harry's VW. It was beautiful and he danced it excellently, but it was quite boring to watch for me; it didn't engage me like it did with others.

I agree with every word of that.....I did love Kristina's AT last night (she posted on twitter today 'thanks to Robin for help with the Choreo') for the sheer spectacle of it but Rachels AT was the most technical of any celeb
