Okay ill come out with it...Lotus has left me heavily dissappointed....Unapologetic is an all round good album....but its not OOMPH brilliant....but Warrior just may be my surprise of 2012.....imma pre order a deluxe now i think ”

Yes, it's funny because I've heard of Ke$ha but I never really checked out her actual music before. I was intrigued though when I read an article that talked about how she was incorporating guitars and rock into her sound. It sounded like she was trying to be creative with her sound so it made me want to check it out. I agree with you Rihanna and Christina's recent music does nothing for me. I'm always looking for melodic catchy pop music but with an interesting twist so Ke$ha sounds like she might be what I'd enjoy.

From what i have heard of snippets (DIe Young is not reflective of it at all) it sounds like a real push forward and i cannot wait to own it ....which is funny...but then again i always had this "dark horse" feeling about Ke$ha....2010 Tik Tok took off and ever since then she has been lurking in the background ready to take centre stage...RIhanna, Perry, gaga are dominant right now...but i have a feeling this will see Ke$ha outlasting all of them...watch this space anyhow

But yeah totally...the sounds of it ode to that Iggy Pop sound like that Alternative Rock/Folky sounds meets Studio 54 and Synthpop...so yeah i am all up for it.

And too right....while i feel RIhanna has been on her best live performances unfortunately (again) the album hasnt matched up with it....its like i feel Rated R should be what she is fronting lol...some great numbers on there but some sonvs i am tired of alreay and Lotus.....well i just simply find "ok" nothing i like or love about it sadly

But WARRIOR...oh boy! lets have it

If the promo machine is armed and loaded Ke$ha could have a colossal era on her hands. In love with Die Young, C'Mon and caved and checked in Crazy Kids - the whistling is so catchy and I'm loving how much more sharp the lyrics are and the reduced auto tune is a major attraction for me. If Ke$ha can keep delivering with her renewed performance skills (THAT tribal breakdown at the AMA's was outstanding!) then she's on the fast-track to becoming a true pop force of nature for 2013!

Needless to say I absolutely love the album! And I love that she can pull off different genres and make them fit her perfectly. She can do anything.

My thoughts...

1. Warrior - Well, I like it, although i don't think it's one of the best on the album. It fits as the album opener but it just lacks a little oomph for me. The verse and the bridge are my favourite bits. 8/10

2. Die Young - Chart friendly as hell and I love the song, but listening to the album shows that Ke$ha has so much more creativity than this song displays. 9/10

3. C'mon - DAMNNNN this sh*t is so catchy. Similar to Warrior in that the chorus is my least favourite part of the song. Kinda generic but it's still great. 8.5/10

4. Thinking Of You - A-MAZ-ING! I absolutely love this song. It's so catchy and I love the rock influences. And I died at the end. Hella funny. 10/10

5. Crazy Kids - So catchy, great dance beat for the chorus and then the rapping over a hip hop beat. The first verse that she raps is sick! 9/10

6. Wherever You Are - Erm, I like it, I think. But it contributes nothing to the album. Maybe it's a grower but it's not catchy or experimental in any way. Least favourite on the album. 6/10

7. Dirty Love - I love when she goes rock and she kills the vocals in this. But this one hasn't really struck me as of yet. The chorus Is a smidge repetitive but it isn't catchy enough to not be an issue. 7/10

8. Wonderland - This is really nice. A folky rock ballad type of song with gorgeous vocals. She packs plenty of emotion into her lyrics and delivers the vocals to match. Great song. 8.5/10

9. Only Wanna Dance With You - The demo version is great and the melody and the music is the same but the lyrics are different, much improved. With a few tweaks making it sound more refined it's gone from a great song to a brilliant song. 9/10

10. Supernatural - The snippets made me excited about this one and it doesn't disappoint. It's catchy and anthemic and SO perfect for the clubs. When she gets it right with a dance track it's incredible. 9.5/10

11. All That Matters - On first listen I thought it was repetitive and nothing spectacular. Second listen, BAM! It hit me straight in the face how awesome this song is. It's insanely catchy and the beat is a killer. I love it! 10/10

12. Love Into The Light - WOAH! Where did this come from?!?! Ke$ha meets Hurts meets Lana Del Rey and it's absolutely amazing! This one is epic and beautiful. A fantastic closer to the standard album. 10/10

13. Last Goodbye - This one got better after each listen. Would fit seamlessly on Animal, it reminds me of Blind & Dancing With Tears In My Eyes. I love the lyrics in this one. It's very catchy too. 9/10

14. Gold Trans Am - This is GREAT. it's rocky and ballsy with a chorus that sounds so country. Once more there's no holding back with the lyrics. 9.5/10

15. Out Alive - Ke$ha does what Ke$ha is famous for. Sure to make you want to get drunk, go dancing and get laid. And yeah, it's damn catchy. 9/10

16. Past Lives - Ohhhhh this song is so nice. It's folky and a little bit countryfied. Lyrically it's brilliant and she sings it beautifully. 9.5/10

Overall, I love the progression into rockier and folkier territories whilst not losing anything that I originally loved about her. It goes from trashy as hell to really moving and raw, from dance to rock to pure good old pop and it all works perfectly together. Also, anyone who doesn't buy the deluxe version is missing out BIG TIME.

God$ha.

Okay...it arrived...and sneakily i played it once....meant to be an Xmas pressie...so tough

But yeah i treated myself to a spin.......this album is practically PERFECT! oh my days the way she has meshed these sounds kinda reminds me of Madonnas American Life album and Music album with the FOlktronica/Techno/Acoustic drive only more "commercial" on Warrior meets Studio 54 Scrappy Disco and Trashy Rock a la Iggy Pop/The Stooges/ROlling Stones....its actually awe striking and after one spin...i think its in my top 10 albums of the year.

I really really am imrpessed that

1) Kesha has made a Rockier/Folky sound with her infamous Electropop sounds/commerciality to a new and raw direction which i hope people invest in

2) have Dr Luke and co really push themselves further into a new direction....that was a definite shocker...but a nice one

&
3) how Kesha could actually make a great conceptualised recording effortlessly like Warrior....brilliant.

OH MY GOD. How could this country flop like this?! Why can't I live in America already?!

She's one of my faves I can't believe it. [/meltdown]

It's a shame about the severely bad performance of this album over here but on the plus side I absolutely ADORE this album. It's crammed full of hits and there are aspects of that rockier element, with raw guitars, I love it. My favourites change all the time. At the moment my top three tracks are Last Goodbye, Dirty Love and Wherever You Are. I love that rocky growl Kesha does in Dirty Love, so sexy!

Apparently C'Mon is single 2. A very safe choice but I felt they should have taken a risk and shown a different sound, maybe have went with Thinking of You or Wherever You Are. I know it's so naughty to do comparisons but Ke$ha should really be having a Teenage Dream-style era success wise because this album is armed and loaded with smashes. It's perfect and a serious last minute contender for my top album of 2012! Gotta say for all of C'Mon's safeness I can't get enough of the beat at the start of the song, its so euphoric, reminds me of summer and just makes me want to party and not give a f**k about problems in life!

Just seen the trailer for My Crazy Beautiful Life doc for MTV...and it looks insanely funny! I actually want to watch it and i am not into these kinda Docu-Series as they always feel a bit sell out-ish....but this look very kinda what Madonna did with "Truth Or Dare" there is a realness and fun vibe i sense here....and that is what i love here about Ke£ha she has a quirkiness that is against the grain and it shows in this trailer ...so yeah...i dont have MTV though :/ but whatever its on i must see this

I love this Queen so much. Animal, Cannibal and Warrior are perfect albums with some good pop songs, great ballads and downright crazy and eccentric that no other singer really does (such as Cannibal and D I N O S A U R)

She's my favourite pop girl, and I want the next album. When is it???
