"Sir" Bruce Forsyth would never get away with continually, week after week making fun of the accent of a Jamaican, Pakistani or Irish accent.... yet apparently it's OK to ridicule A North Of England accent week in week out... and this cretin will no doubt pile it on in Blackpool next week. Utterly offensive.

It's funny how we all interpret things differently ~ I see Brucie doing the 'funny old uncle' with Chelsee (and she doesn't seem to mind).

Brucie doesn't usually purposely upset the celebs ~ he does like to dig at Craig though

I don't see Sir Bruce doing anything wrong.

He's annoyed me in the past with Chelsee, in particular his misjudged pretend leering at her while she was upset about flashing a nipple (as she imagined). But they seem ok now. I'd guess they've talked and learned how to get on better. His 'luvely' was gentle and affectionate, I thought.

that was too Alex and that has annoyed me about Alex and her welsh accent too

I think Bruce would have had permission with the people before doing this. Its a fun dance show, and that's fine.

Yes, he did a 'luvleee' to Alex too. And a cheesy joke. But his cod-Northern luvely to Chelsee was mild in comparison to the way he's been in the past. IMO

As much of what he says will be rehearsed, I doubt if those involved would see it as problem, after all they get involved in those asinine "here they are in training" videos.

What's your point?

Pasha took the mick out of Chelsee's accent on ITT when she said "man-leh", but he did it in an affectionate way - I don't think the intention is offensive, and that's the difference between teasing someone over their accent and actually being derogatory or racist about it, which is intentionally offensive.

He's been patronising women for over half a century now. It's a bit late to expect him to change.

I'm being sarcastic and ironic at the same time.

I am laughing at how people don't get your sarcasm!

I actually think Brucie was genuinely proud of her and grew to like her like his little grand/great-granddaughter.

Bruce is a deranged attention seeker, he will hijack at any opportunity to get himself some microphone time. That's why he says "look at them! They're standing up!" when the floor manager has motioned them to stand up with his pickaxe poised menacingly, and why he often has to add to the judges comments too, as if anyone cared.
