It was fab. I think the person who sung it should audition on x factor.

Yes weighlifting, that's what I thought.

However, i'm not a dancer/learner of dance, so I don't know, are showdances just about lifts, because that dance felt like there were about 20 lifts, with minimal steps?

The tumblers? Skilful and athletic.
Was it a dance?

She was very limber

Oh God, how fantastic must it be to be that strong and supple? That roll-up thing was unbelievable!!!!

I thought it was clever, but "more suitable for a circus rather than a pantomime."

All I could think of was the Bacofoil Dance, and please don't give the remaining pros any ideas!

There was zero dance in it ! Full of acrobatics. I hate showdances like that

It reminded me of a better executed version of the 'Bacofoil affair' tbh, not my cup of tea at all.
The only style of acrobatic show-dance aka crazy calisthenics i've enjoyed is Hanna Karttunen and her hunk of a partner whose name escapes me. She knew how to be flung with aplomb.

I liked it - thought it was the best of those exhibitions I have seen. It looked better choregraphed to the music and seemed to flow well.

if we're going that route, i prefer the weird cat looking woman who does it all in high heels.

It was a gymnastic display to music.

They were supurb. I see what you're all saying but I also think there's room enough for all different types of dance.

I didn't really enjoy watching the showdance. I thought it was too much lifting hardly any dance at all. I know anything goes in the showdance but I would not want to see any of the finalists attempt to do that next week, I'd prefer more dance less acrobatics.

It had disturbing elements of the Bacofoil dance. I hated it.

These pro showdances are always like that, we already had something like this. But maybe her feet hurt so he just carried her around That thing when she started lying on the floor and rolled up on him was amazing.

It's a bit OTT to say it was just weight lifting. Yes there were a lot of lifts (I think that may be the norm in exhibition dancing?), but weight lifting implies the female dancer wasn't doing anything. She danced just as much as any other pro, it's just that the dancing was done in the air. Beautiful lines and expression, although I've seen them do another routine on Strictly I liked better (I think last year- to 'who wants to live forever').

Who danced? I didn't watch it, but would be interested to know who it was.

It was Craig and Natalie, Becca!

I don't think you can see how amazing they are until you watch them up close and personal, it's breathtaking.

Ah, I see. I missed seeing them dance in Assen, it wasn't the same without them. I hope the video comes up on YouTube or something as I'd love to see.

Although I'm not keen on exhibition as a whole, they are truly amazing to watch up close, I love how the audience will just literally sit and not breathe for the whole entire time in case it puts them off!

Oh dear, I just made the mistake of going onto YouTube and rewatching that.

Why??????

Now need to rebleach my brain. And I'd only just recovered from last time.

I'm not bothered that it wasn't ballroom dancing - I thought it was fabulous. (Just hope the pros and celebs don't take it as inspiration ).
