It comes with a health warning but I'll link to the one with the comments so it won't be as traumatising!

It has been too long since I've watched that. No comedy dance has ever approached that for how hilarious it is.

I never, ever thought that there would be anything that would give me cause to waiver in my love for Brendan, but I must admit, I felt something die in me as I watched that you tube vid. Oh my darling rent-a-pro…how could you?!

...He still has a fantastic arse though, so I’ll forgive him (), but it’s going to take many repeat viewings of this evening’s pro dance and a whole bucket of brain bleach to make me forget the horror that is The Bacofoil!

What I loved was that the audience were staunchly remaining seated as it ended.

I am presuming that the usual whippers-up-of-fake-enthusiasm were responsible for getting them to their feet because so they so clearly weren't going to.

Indeed - I nearly split my sides laughing just reading the "opening credits"

His motley crew of partners since then - Jo Wood, Michelle Williams and Lulu - plus his 2 stints as rent-a-pro and his inclusion in skits even after being voted out has helped us see a different side to Brendan. I'd almost forgotten about bacofoil until I saw that exhibition dance and the memories came flooding back...

Yes weighlifting, that's what I thought.

However, i'm not a dancer/learner of dance, so I don't know, are showdances just about lifts, because that dance felt like there were about 20 lifts, with minimal steps?
It was an Exhibition Show Dance and yes, that's what they're about, the lifts. The original example shown in the (from memory) second series was more about giving the pros/clebs examples of the different types of lifts they could include because, up to then, there had been NO lifts allowed at all outside of the show dance.

Every year we have this exhibition of weightlifting to music and after Brendan thought he could do it I hope that the current pros wont get any ideas ,

There are so amny other different types of showdance I just wish we could see somethnig else that might really inspire the pros to do something special.

I have on the whole except for Tom's been disappointed in the showdances and his was so different than weightlifting to music

Indeed.... I have only ever seen it just that once and it was more than enough. Lisa's awkward writhing on the floor, the 'will they make it?' roll up lift where Brendan looked like he was hauling timber... *shudders*

Have managed to forget most of it though, so I daren't click on that link above or I'll get full Bacofoil flashback.

As for tonight's show dance, if you can call it that....sorry, not for me. I do admire their skill and athleticism, and the male dancer's amazing strength - but to be honest I was bored by half way through. There are only so many ways to chuck yourself at your partner and then get thrown up in the air.
You forgot the little hooves her feet appeared to be.
