I was just about to post exactly that when I saw that you'd beaten me to it OP. Unlike xfactor, the best final three fight it out between.

I agree, although I'll genuinely miss the others. It was hard not to be moved as Alex & James and Holly & Artem bid farewell to Strictly tonight.

The show has benefited from a very likeable bunch of celebrities this year. I've been hard pushed to find things to criticise about the majority of them!

Good luck to Chelsee, Jason and Harry in Blackpool. Whatever the outcome, I'm sure it'll be a cracking final

By putting Jason in the final we now have in dance terms a straight fight between Harry and Chelsee to win, bring it on

agree. i really like holly and felt sorry for her partnered with the dour artem, but jason is definitely the better dancer so it was right that he went through with chelsee and harry.

I do wonder what Aliona has planned for the showdance this year. Hated it last year, but her one for Harry could be awesome. Hope we get to see it - though I'm pretty sure he wont come 3rd. Fingers crossed.

Agree really, even if I personally like Holly more than Harry the best three dancers across the whole competition have made the final, which in itself is unusual for this show. Good luck to them all.

Yup she needs to get it more correct this year, can't see Pasha & Kristina cocking the showdances up like all three did last year.

I think Kristina and Jason earned it. Jason has worked very hard from the start but hasn't improved as much as some.

IMO Holly only lacked fitness when the series started, but she maybe had the best technique of anyone at that point. For some reason Holly didn't progress enough - I dont know why. She should perhaps have easily made the final - she has enough natural movement and personality. I can understand her being happy the way she is - she should be.
I'm left with the impression that the partnership needed to spark and some kind of fire start at the beginning and that never happened. Sometimes the catalyst is missing and it cant be helped.

Completely agree with everything you have said - wasn't sure how I had felt about this series, but have realised tonight just how much I have enjoyed it - I have liked so many of the celebs, partnerships and routines. Less real stand out "wow" dances for me this year, but just a lot to enjoy in general, and hope the final lives up to the rest of the series. Good luck to the final three and will be good to see everyone back

I think those three were the finalists from the beginning.

I think Chelsee and Harry are evenly match but have different strengths and weaknesses.

The final can depend as much on the VT's shown and the way they are percieved as the dancing when its that close, so although Harry seems to be favourite with the bookmakers, I think Chelsee still has a good chance of winning.

Yes, the right three. No shock eliminations this year! Good to have:

The three best celeb dancers.
Three pros who haven't had a shot at the glitterball before.
Three very different personalities, and hopefully some cracking showdances.

Not going to jinx it by saying now that it's going to be the best finals, because last year was a bit of a let-down after all the hype I've put myself through...

Even though Holly's my favourite celeb personality wise and I wanted her in the final rather than Jason, I have to admit I think he has probably overall been the better dancer of the two and therefore probably the 3 best celeb dancers are in the final.

100% agree. Liked all final 5 for different reasons. The best 3 are in the final. I do dread Jason's faces!

Wow what a lovely thread.......I hope the final is a great one.....sometimes the nerves get in the way, and I always rather dread the showdances in case they are awful. Last years final was marred by Kara's injury which slightly took the shine of things for me.....looking forward to some great dancing....I hope we get to see all three showdances like we did last year (it only seems fair when they have worked so hard on them) I would be gutted not to see what Kristina can come up with. May the best woman ....sorry I mean person win

The TV Guide says one person goes and then the final two will do the showdance!

If a person has enough support to get to the final there must be plenty of people who would want to see their freestyle number.
It always seemed to me unfair to say devise and learn a routine then forget it.
