Although I don't think Jason has a prayer at winning and it should just be a Chelsee vs Harry final, I'm still really looking forward to it.

Hopefully the bookies are wrong and Harry doesn't already have it in the bag and whoever performs the best on the night takes home the glitter ball.

Totally agree- it's a shame Kristina couldn't get to the final without Jason- and I must admit I'd rather have Blackpool Tower collapse before I see Aliona's hands on the glitterball... I'm still waiting for people to confirm it is a typo and actually Holly made it not Harry

I have to disagree - Chelsee and Harry certainly.

BUT - I have to say for me there has been no stand out celeb this year and I haven't enjoyed the series anywhere near as much as last year.
I can only think of one dance that I would want to see again and thanks to Artem's choreography - it was his and Hollys' Swan Lake.

I'm not bothered about watching the final and probably won't.

Harry and Chelsee - yes. Jason - no. I would have preferred Holly - I enjoy Artem's choreography, which looks extremely challenging and Holly rose to it. The dance of the series - in fact the dance I will remember above all others, is "The Swan" - that deserved four 10's in my book and no other female contestant could have danced it so well. Their Charleston was amazing. and so innovative. Thank you Holly and thank you Artem.

Not sure what your definition of dour is.
For me these words do him far more justice
Gentle, funny, reserved, gallant, kind, playful, inspired.

If these qualities make some one dour, I like Len will pickle me walnuts ( sadly I don't have any)

Best 3 couples - probably. Exciting final - unlikely. Strictly finals rarely live up to the hype (last years was pretty rubbish). The winner is a pretty much foregone conclusion even before a foot has been placed on the dancefloor.

Perhaps this year could be a pleasant change though...

I disagree - Chelsee and Harry yes, but Jason definitely not. He gurned all the time, seemed to think he worked harder than anyone else and didn't improve much as the series went on. i would have preferred Holly - I think she was underated and undermarked on several occasions.

The wrong three are in the final.

I have no interest in watching any of them.

It is obvious to me that Jason got into the final because of his long career and popularity in completely unrelated fields, and because most of the voting public are women. Holly is a ten times better dancer, but unknown to most people, and the women voters were not impressed by her (and maybe they were a bit jealous of her stunning looks, figure, elegance and class).

Oh my goodness. There's always one!

I totally agree that the right 3 are in the final. It would be great to see all the showdances since they've no doubt put a lot of hard work into them. I'd so love Harry to win.

I find myself -for a change! - to be in the pleasant position of having my fave in the final (Harry) and also if he doesn't win, knowing that Chelsee will win and she is my second fave and I will be really happy for her and Pash.

Looking forward to it! ”

Aliona was in the final with Matt last year (and I hope she choreographs a better show dance for Harry).

I agree the right three are in the final! Four dances in one night - can't wait to their showdances!

It's obvious to me that Jason got into the final because he got more votes! Pure and simple.

The public just didn't connect with Holly for some reason. To be honest, in the early weeks she came across as disinterested and bored and her partnership with Artem didn't take off. She grew on me, I loved her by the end, but I never thought she was that good. Chelsee is relatively unknown but she's made it to the final so that argument doesn't wash either.

Anyway, traditionally the male celebrities nearly always tend do better with the public on this show, nothing new there I'm afraid.

Not this old chestnut! I adored Holly and I wanted her in the final with Harry and Chelsee. And Kara was my fave last year and she is just stunning.

Up until Saturday night I didn't mind too much who was in the final, Harry and Chelsee had earned their places. Out of Jason & Holly I really didn't mind - Holly was the better natural dancer, but Jason made up for that with his hard work, so it was either or for me. Until - that awful AT/Morris dance that Jason and Kristina delivered and also the shambolic samba, they proved to me that Jason really is not a dancer - it should have been Holly in the final. I don't really have favourites, or vote, but I can really go off couples, quickly,.

Errr, no, I think they were helped on the way by a healthy dose of overmarking of the masochistics tango. Four 10s my *****, it wasn't even an AT.

Well the public didn't agree, clearly, as they voted more for Jason than Holly (had to be the case given their respective places on the leaderboard). Since when has this show been about the dancing anyway? I suspect, most, like me, saw an extremely enjoyable dance without the hate tinted spectacles.

Dour??

Artem has one of the most engaging smiles I've ever seen and seems both charming and caring to his partners.

I have no doubt that he is a hard taskmaster but he clearly has a sense of humour and fun and this comes across in his choreography too.

Actually from what we've seen of him this series, I think dour is a good word to describe Artem. When he smiles he lights up the room, but we haven't seen that happen very often and he doesn't seem particularly charming or caring towards his partners - maybe once in a blue moon.

Well that's just your opinion. To me this was the best AT for a long time. Whether it was worth 40 is subjective but the leader board was correct regardless.

Well, I'm obviously seeing something very different to you then.

Almost every time - with both Kara and Holly - he has stepped back a little when they receive their applause from the audience, in order to allow his partner to be appreciated for her efforts and performance and he generally joins in with it, before stepping back to join her.

He clearly takes his dancing very seriously and expects a lot from his partner but I see that as him wanting his partner to show what she is capable of achieving. Neither Kara or Holly seemed to be full of themselves at any stage and often seemed unsure of their potential and Artem's choreography always played to their strengths. He didn't let either of them down.

I think he is well suited to routines which demand drama and passion and he carries that off very well but I don't see him as dour at all.

People like Gordon Brown are what I'd call dour - not Artem.

I have to agree with you there he almost always seems uncomfortable, although it might have something to do with language barriers.
