Whoops sorry, must have put them on by accident when you left them behind. Didn't you read my post there was no hate in there, seems certain people have agendas.

You forgot to add in your opinion - I disagree.

The public just didn't connect with Holly for some reason. To be honest, in the early weeks she came across as disinterested and bored and her partnership with Artem didn't take off. She grew on me, I loved her by the end, but I never thought she was that good. Chelsee is relatively unknown but she's made it to the final so that argument doesn't wash either.

Anyway, traditionally the male celebrities nearly always tend do better with the public on this show, nothing new there I'm afraid.”

How can you possibly know whether the public connected with her or not?

It can't be because of the voting results, because so far as you know, lots of people were voting for her, just not quite so many as for some others.

The judges certainly did their best to try to turn viewers off her, with all their claims that she was holding back, etc, but we don't know how successful they were.

I thought Jason was above Holly on the leaderboard.

The bookies don't often get it wrong.

But only by 1 point (Jason 3rd, Holly 4th)
And because the public vote outweighs the judges in a tie, if Holly got 1 more point with the viewers, she would have overtaken Jason. Because Jason stayed ahead enough to be in the final 3, he MUST have scored more than Holly with the public

He clearly takes his dancing very seriously and expects a lot from his partner but I see that as him wanting his partner to show what she is capable of achieving. Neither Kara or Holly seemed to be full of themselves at any stage and often seemed unsure of their potential and Artem's choreography always played to their strengths. He didn't let either of them down.

I think he is well suited to routines which demand drama and passion and he carries that off very well but I don't see him as dour at all.

People like Gordon Brown are what I'd call dour - not Artem. ”

I agree Gordon Brown appears dour and Artem was fine with Kara, but as for this series I agree we must be seeing different things. Your post covers a lot of things I didn't comment on.

I think it is about dancing, but coupled with personality and connection with the public and partner.

I think Jason is missing that connection with some people (including me). Unfortunately it's not something you can manufacture - it's a natural thing and to me Jason hasn't got it.

btw, what are 'hate tinted spectacles'?

In my opinion, people are just expressing an opinion - and that's a good thing!

It's possible that he has chosen to adopt a particular demeanour in order to ensure that the silly reports of tensions between him and Kara and alleged jealousy from Kara over him dancing with Holly didn't cloud the issue and detract from the competition.

Last year, the way he felt about Kara was clear to see from an early stage but he isn't likely to want constant speculation about their relationship and Kara's feelings about his dancing partner in every series of SCD to come, I don't think.

Maybe he has just decided to give the gossip columnists less to work on and manufacture.

I just get the impression that having won last year he couldn't really be bothered much this year. Like he couldn't motivate himself.

Wanted Holly there, but agree. All five semi-finalists were winners for going most of the distance. No major injustices this year, although maybe Lulu shoud have lasted a couple of weeks longer.

I think the right 3 made it to the final, but I think I feel a bit more for Harry and Chelsee 'cos they've both been on a journey - her from being wildly passionate but technically poor to more precise, and him in the opposite way, from technically good with no passion to showing more emotion.

So, to summarise my waffle, my favourite is Harry, but I think Chelsee should second!

Yes, the right 3 are in the final. I liked all the semi-finalists, and it was a shame for Alex and Holly to be voted out, but the right 3 are going to Blackpool.

Try bottom two twice. It suggeat lack of public support to me. Hey, I actually liked her.

Yes Jason was above her on the leaderboard but only by one place. I'm not going over all the maths again but the way it works is that public vote takes precedence in a tie and had Holly got more votes than Jason then at at the very least she would have tied with Jason and been saved on the public vote.

I agree about Jason, even I've gone off him a bit in recent weeks, but some of the stuff posted on this board about him is far from pleasant. I have no problem with people expressing different opinions, hey if we were all the same the world would be a duller place

Hate tinted spectacles were born out of frustration out of the continuing Jason bashing/hating/running down, whatever you want to call it. My point was that had the poster been a fan of Jason they may have viewed the dance differently, that's all.

I think it's all still to play for really - all 3 finalists have a lot going for them and much hangs on the showdance of course. I don't see anybody in danger of the the infamous bacofoil leotard (maybe Kristina)... which is a killer - so I suspect it is really this time down to the quality of the dancing.

If I were Jason I would send up what seems to be the general response to his 'reflections' (Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) by producing a VT showing people falling asleep as he spouts his platitudes only to become wide awake and awestruck when the music starts and he and Kristina start doing their magic on the dance floor.

The GBP warm to people who don't take themselves seriously and even though Jace keeps on saying that he just wants to have fun, his over-earnest tones make it sound like he doesn't mean it.

He has a major haul ahead of him not to be eliminated first and needs all the help he can get.

I would have preferred Holly in the final because I think each couple is going to repeat two dances they have already shown us

Artem's choreography has been spectacular this year and Holly has excelled in some of these dances. They are far more interesting than the cheesy routines Jason and Kristina have performed.

So What if Jason wants to win.....It is a competition after all.

Actually it would be nice for someone to say Yes I want to Win this and be honest instead of having to pretend to please audiences for fear of being too confident or self congratulating..

Would'nt it be good if someone said Yes stuff the others I want to win this...imagine the fallout.....

Excellent point and I thoroughly agree. I would love Jason and Kristina to win, personally I can't see it happening, Harry has it in the bag I think, but I love the way you have articulated how I feel too. Thanks

 I am so bored with the jealus hatus and the women don't vote for women arguement - it's utter rot in most cases.

The lovely Kara won last year and Alesha also an attractive woman won her series. Maybe from a dance expert's perspective Holly is a far superior dancer but I'm not one of those (I have no idea if you are or not) and neither is most of the SCD voting public and we can only judge on what we notice and the judges' point out to us. I suspect that Holly isn't in the final because she had a tendancy to dance as if in slow motion at times, her partnership with Artem didn't really seem to gel (I think she was actually lucky Artem got injured in rhumba week because she had a lot more chemistry with Brendan even only rehersing with him a week with Artem chereographing over their shoulder) and because she was unlucky enough in the semi-final to get a dance that didn't suit her (which may or may not have been made harder for her by Artem's unusual chereography). Jason may or may not have been a better dancer but he knew how to sell a dance better than she did and he deserved to make the final over her.

Speaking as a woman would I rather look at or sleep her rather than Jason - yes , would I rather have her round for tea than Jason even if there was a chance hubbie would spend more time looking at her than me - yes - I loved her dry laconic and for SCD rather honest way of talking a lot more than Jason's cliched blabbling. Do I think that the right Aussie went through to the semi-final - hell yes!

I am not a Jason fan,but imho he got to the final because he is a much better dancer than Holly. To me Holly seemed too tall and awkward to ever make a dance look appealing, plus and again imo she never did seem to put her all into the dance.I will be a happy bunny if Jason comes third in the final, I can't seperate Chelsee and Harry atm, so it will be whoever wow me with their show dance will get my vote on the night.

They have all said they want to win.

But I smell the desperation through the tv when Jason is on air.
