Holly was robbed, her and Jason should both be in the final.

I think the order they did the dances also had an effect, if Jason had done his AT first and then his samba and Holly her Charleston and then AT, things might have been different. As soon as Holly was half way through the charleston and started to go a bit wrong, I knew she would go
such a shame because her paso was one of my favourite dances of the series so far.

Yes definitely, she was always undermarked and Jason overmarked , and I swear Jason was constantly closing the show, well it felt like it anyway.
It did to me too, I'd love to know how often he went out anywhere but first or last 2? Where's Monkseal when you need him, I'm off to do some research. ![]() ETA : He has gone last 4th from end 3rd from end 1st last 5th (middle for rumba) 5th last last but one last last So he has gone first or last two 7 out of 11 weeks. |

There has been only one dance that I will remember from this series and that is Holly and Artem's Swan Lake - inspired, original and beautiful.
I thought Holly was consistently undermarked and the judges seemed to prefer 'stiff, earnest, knows the steps but doesn't hear the music' - Jason. I have no interest at all in the final this year, cannot 'connect' to any of the partnerships left. |

Holly always looked slightly lackadaisical and underpowered... ready to be pushed about and do a balletic pose, but simply not sharp enough. The partnership with Artem did not suit her.

No!!!
Jason was amazing last night, as he has been all series but he was always undermarked until last night! He definitely deserves to be in the final

I don't think so. Though I've enjoyed her performances and her devilish senje of humour I think the right 3 made the final.

I don't think she and Artem deserved a place in the final. I have to say that Artem's back injury was clearly affecting his dancing still - he seemed very "cautious" with a lot of his moves and I felt he was only giving it 90% in recent weeks.

Not in my opinion.
Holly was an interesting one because I sensed Artem always felt compelled to adapt dances which she wasn't keen on to suit her, otherwise she would sort of give up on them. Whereas isn't it more typical for the celebrity to have to adjust to the demands of the dance? So as much as I liked Holly's character and her dry sense of humour, I thought Jason was slightly more deserving of a place in the final because I felt like he tried his best to master and to embrace the spirit of every dance he was given, regardless of whether it was his cup of tea or not. I didn't think one was more overmarked or undermarked than the other. The judges were arguably too harsh on Jason's Paso and Rhumba, and overly generous with his Argentine Tango. Conversely, maybe Holly deserved a couple of 10s for her AT but I doubt her Charleston would have got 9's if it wasn't the semis, and I'm not convinced her Paso was worthy of 10's. So that side of things evened itself out in my mind. Finally, how do we know Alex didn't outvote Holly last night? We're assuming it was between Holly and Jason for the final place. |

Vote for your LEAST favourite couple: Alex ------- 42% Jason ----- 32% Harry ----- 11% Chelsee --- 9% Holly ------- 6% |

As much as I love her and wanted her to be in the final, her charleston wasn't great and although I do think was undermarked (comparatively) her performances were getting-into-the-final great. I think that two that deserve to be in the final are there and Jason is was just lucky.

absolutely not
she's been relentlessly overmarked and consistently lazy her AT was so low energy i thought she was asleep, she was sitting down for half of it for goodness sake if she doesn't have ME then i'm forced to assume she's just tired of living, its horrible to lose Artem, but frankly good riddance to Holly i mean seriously their 'jive' and yes i'm aware of Artem's injury, my issue is with Holly's consistently poor effort |

Holly: an intelligent and beautiful contestant but...

I thought her AT which scored 36 was better than Jason's; and Jason getting 40 for that meant he was above Holly on the board, which meant that she would have to out-poll Jason to go through to the final.

You've made some really good points, Sid (well, I would say that because I agree with 'em!). BIB - you're right, we don't know for sure (and they always do that 'in no particular order' stuff), but it makes sense for them to announce the 5th place before 4th, doesn't it?
![]() The one thing I'm glad of is that we get to see Holly and Alex on ITT right up til the end, because even if their dancing didn't always wow me, I've grown to really enjoy their interviews with Zoe! |

Probably was in my mind as I do think she was undermarked compared to Jason
if she had been above him on te leader board she did stand more chance of getting through Both were good dancers but Holly was consitantly undermarked for me all season I loved her swan lake, jive , paso and AT for Jason I only had his priscilla and halloween dance so I think she should have gone thorugh There's also the strange case of Jason's acting. Craig was enthusing about it and Jason fills theatres in his day job, but I see complete ham and wouldn't stay if there wasn't someone else on stage to watch. If he divides people that much, its difficult to be objective about how well he does anything. There's also the marking problem of how you compare a routine thats too difficult but more artistic with one thats more straighforward and traditional. They don't mark harder choregraphy out of more than 10 so its arguably not wise to attempt anything tougher to learn or more risky or more draining. |

Jason only got into the final because of his long career and popularity in unrelated fields, and because most of the voting public were probably women. Holly was ten times the better dancer overall throughout the competition.

The final is exactly as it should be given the performances all season. I don't think Jason will will (although I would like to see it for Kristina's sake) but he certainly deserves his place, and the other two were a given IMO. |

No. On the night Jason out-performed Holly.
Even if people bitch about a dance not deserving '10s' the award of 4 '10s' by the judges signifies something special has occurred. Unless you believe the judges are completely incompetent and/or there's some kind of organised conspiracy against your fave. |

Personally I would prefer to watch Holly than Jason but all in all am happy with the final three.
I loved Holly's self deprecating, laid back manner, refreshing in comparison to the usual gushing. I also loved the 'cool' factor with her. Loved her and Artem's Jive and had it not been for the hesitancy and mistakes would have loved their Charleston. Much better than the OTT renditions for me. |
