absolutely not
she's been relentlessly overmarked and consistently lazy her AT was so low energy i thought she was asleep, she was sitting down for half of it for goodness sake if she doesn't have ME then i'm forced to assume she's just tired of living, its horrible to lose Artem, but frankly good riddance to Holly i mean seriously their 'jive' and yes i'm aware of Artem's injury, my issue is with Holly's consistently poor effort |

what a nasty post.
if she has no medical condition, and i am aware of none, then one must assume she's lazy and i withdraw nothing but i am willing to be corrected oh actually if as somebody in one thread suggested she IS pregnant then i'd withdraw the comments too, obviously |

How can she be "robbed". She didn't get through because enough members of the public didn't vote for her, there's no robbing involved.
She wasn't good enough to capture the imagination/willingness to spend money of the viewing public at the end of the day. It all comes down to personal taste, I've never felt she "loved" dancing and I've never felt she demonstrated that she was loving being part of SCD, it always looked like she was simply going through the motions on most occasions. There were a few exceptions, the Swan Lake AS, her Foxtrot and the Paso from last week were the only dances I actually felt any sort of connection between what she was doing and some emotion. |

if she has ME or similarly debilitating ailment which would totally excuse an apparent lack of effort then i would sympathise completely and certainly withdraw any negative comments

To be honest, I thought her attitude was like a breath of fresh air. I think she tried, but she didn't pretend it was a matter of life and death for her. |

'lazy overpaid cow' and be glad when she's gone Actually to be fair that is a little harsh, but i've not enjoyed her, i've found her irritating and smug and yes, lazy That's just how she came across to me, not as fresh air, but you know what? That's just an opinion. And one, apparently, for which i'm going to be derided Last edited by jessicaq : 12-12-2011 at 16:14. Reason: clarification + typo |

But then i retain the right to think
'lazy overpaid cow' and be glad when she's gone Makes you think though, if (as you say) she got to the semi-final without apparently trying..how good would she have been if she had really tried ? |

Actually it's possible she could have been really good, there were the odd hints, it's maybe even possible that, to my mind at least, that's why she was overmarked, that they were marking on potential.
Alas we'll never know There were always dances that were going to be a struggle for her, Artem cleverly devised choreography to hide her natural deficiencies, but he couldn't pull it off every time. |

I think her height was a drawback. Not only her height, she's a big girl as well..not out of proportion big, she's very attractive, but what people used to call "big boned".

I think there's quite a difference between "gushing" and actually appearing to care about being there in the first place. There's lots of people would give a great deal to be able to learn how to dance with professional ballroom and latin dancers and, personally, I'd like to see those given that chance actually demonstrating they're appreciating and enjoying it.
That said, Holly did manage to look less casual during her Paso - it seemed to really matter to her that she nail that dance, and I'm really glad that she did. That was my highlight of her time on Strictly. Unfortunately, I felt she reverted to type when it was time to Charleston. |

It was perfectly clear that Holly was enjoying the experience. Its also clear that she was in the minority who were only there for the experience. She's seen it as a personal challenge from what she's said and done.. If she had looked otherwise people would have accused her of looking as desperate as Jason or faking a different character. She's obviously not there for the money, not doing the tour for more money, and as far as anyone knows, hasn't got a tour/show/new job coming up or a new career to build, or a fanbase that needs boosting, or a changed public persona to establish. - which would include most of the others. She might look tired at times but there's no reason at all to think she's been training less than anyone - as no figures have been revealed and we have been told the opposite - and every reason to think that she's actually had to train too hard to do many of the most complicated and physical routines on offer. |

In my opinion. she was just quieter and more laid-back. As far as that goes, so is Harry on Strictly.. apparently he is different with his mates. |

I don't think she was robbed, no. She made it to the semis which is good! ...and then only three could make it to the final and it would either have been her or Jason to join Harry and Chelsee and Jason pipped her (which I'm fine about).
She has been bottom two twice and Jason once, so, I was expecting her to be exiting anway, really. Her Charleston wasn't great (as neither was jason's first dance) so it was a toss up between the two and whichever one had left would not have been robbed. Now if Harry or Chelsee had left with Alex I'd feel differently about who was more deserving either staying in or going out. |

She had potential but, rightly or wrongly, she came over as someone who did nt put the effort in. Jason has little natural ability to dance but he's desperate not to look useless! so he puts in more effort... So, I suppose, Jason was the one who should have gone through.. Though if he wins I will be TOTALLY gobsmacked.

I have no idea how tall she is, but I was comparing her with Artem..whom I presume is no "titch". He appeared to struggle with the lifts, putting his back out. Then after the Charleston on saturday, it looked as if he was heading for a coronary.

Holly shirked nothing asked of her, but was relieved in Tesspit that she had escaped injury. |

Artem is 5 foot 11, Holly stands almost level, but much wider so she could be 15 stone. Has anybody tried pulling between his legs another person of the same height and 3 stone heavier, from ground level to standing height as in the charleston? Afterwards Brucie from up close asked if Artem was alright.

The Aussies rarly use stones, the conversion proved difficult for the original settlers. A more accurate measurement from down under would be 1.5 kangaroos or 17 Koala bears.

I thought her AT which scored 36 was better than Jason's; and Jason getting 40 for that meant he was above Holly on the board, which meant that she would have to out-poll Jason to go through to the final.

I loved Holly/ Artem parnership and would have loved to see them in the final. I cannnot abide Jason/Kristina, combined they reach a critical mass of undisguised lust for success and it's ugly. That said Holly was not robbed-she hasn't been good enough. Sad but it's not the end of the world.
Poor Kristina has been given crap partner after crap partner for i dont know how many series so good on her for been competitive and aiming for gold in this SCD - i was made up she got Jason and together they've had some of the most fun routines to date. nothing ugly about either of them Holly/Jason/Harry were my top 3 favs for the final - sadly we've lost holly so im all jason and harry dont mind who wins it out of those 2 |
