Track from 1986/7 - what is it?
Digging through my taped radio archives I hear this track
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5RtG...ature=youtu.be but despite its solid 80's sound I just don't know who it is singing or what it is called. Have you any idea? I will add that listening to my Capitol FM and Radio 1 archive from that period made me realise how much presentation styles have changed (I had Jeremy Beadle DJ-ing) and also that the music that was on the radio is mostly not what the 80's complialtions would have us believe was popular. |

That's really annoying, at times it sounds like Haircut 100, others the vocals have a twang like Bob Geldof. What was playing either side of the track on your tape?

It does sound very familiar......without being familiar if you know what I mean
Sounds a bit like Tears for Fears to me |

There's a distinctly Scots tinge to those vocals, I'd say.

Thanks for that - I would NEVER had got that one! The tape is just clips from the radio that caught my ear at the time - Boots Ferric C90's - and along with the UK top 40 I recorded Steve Walsh and even some Radio Oxford.
