Silly me. However in fairness Harry's VW was performed in the same half as Chelsee's Paso, and for me Harry's VW was much better than the Charleston yet scored the same.
I can see why you made the mistake - for me the VW was much better too. Frankly 39 for an opening dance is remarkably high, which is another consideration.

Strictly without Craig? Never. He is very professional and sees things that we don't see. All the judges see things that the others don't. No-one can complain about a score of 9.

I don't think its time for him to go. I am suprised he gave out two tens last week for dances which I would have expected him to give 9s for at the most but, despite that, he's still the best judge. And I have to admit that even Alesha's critiques of dances are getting much better as well. All she needs to stop doing is constantly say "you should be proud" lol.

If you want to lose sleep over Craig giving Chelsee a non perfect dance a ten while apparently snubbing Harry's attempt then go on then. Or maybe not. Calmed down now, perhaps?
Calmed down now? whats that supposed to mean

Simply you are outraged (on Saturday night and Sunday) because you perceived (and perhaps iyo rightly so) that Harry was unfairly snubbed of a ten from Craig, but now after a few days you are less angry by it.

Am I right?

I wouldent say i was outraged, thats too much, lets say rather baffled, i could not understand it, i still dont understand it much but im happy to know im not the only one who thinks this (one or two people have replied saying they understand what i mean) Perhaps im not an alien after all lol. I now think maybe he gave chelsee a 10 because he felt more passion and feeling in her dance than he did of harrys? I could be wrong. But i was bothered about coming across as odd as i had a different opinion (and so many people seemed to think her dance was worthy of a 10)

Well, pros such as James Jordan and Karen Hardy seem to think Harry deserve tens from Craig. So there. Judging a dance is not always logical or objective, I supposed...

Phew, im not an alien then (lol) if some of the pros say he deserves tens also

Do you reckon that craig may be undermarking harry on purpose? I read that somewhere in anothr thread, but i dont understand why they would do that

I don't think he did it on purpose tbh. I do think that Harry will get tens from him if he sort out his 'head position' in his ballroom in the final.

I don't think Craig is undermarking Harry at all. He's marking as he sees it which is not and never can be the way any of the rest of us see it. Karen's opinion, despite her extensive dance history, is coloured by her own preconceptions and foibles as is James'. Nobody is ever completely objective but Craig, as far as the Strictly panel goes, is as good as it gets. Of course you're not an alien - three judges agreed with you that the dance deserved a perfect score (of course they may be aliens too, there is a certain amount of evidence that they are not of this planet...)

Also i forgot to say, i was looking at the situation and thinking of an almost exact situation in last years strictly, i remember craig giving pamela a 10 and there were errors in the dance and people thought she was hammy, and didnt give kara a 10, yet kara was the best thing to come out of that series (and maybe the best thing ever to come out of strictly, according to some people) So i saw a very similar situation this year with harry and chelsee and craigs marking.

Also when kara and artem did theyre american smooth and got bad marks for it, when it clearly deserved a 40 ( wasnt the only one who thought this it seemed a load of people did) it was just amazing (they danced to cry me a river by michael buble) I watched that dance again the other week and just couldent believe it when i saw the marks they gave, i thought it was a travesty (lol is that one of craig`s sayings?)

It did make me laugh though when i read a comment on you tube saying len can be such a pr ick at times LOL

Though I supported Kara last year, I do see why Len marked Kara down for her AS because she was not even one second in ballroom hold in that dance when it's meant to be a foxtrot-inspired routine.

Have you seen Alesha on Alan Carr?
Have you seen Bruno on just about anything?
And as for Len - well, you said yourself he gave Kara 6 for her AS, that'll do as evidence that he is judging from a galaxy far, far away for me .

No point - you'd just get exactly the same arguments for/against the 9 score .

yes he was .... not in the competitive ballroom sense but he worked as a dancer ... then he went into choreography and has choreographed a lot of the big West End shows and touring productions and won awards for it

'7' in the final and yet, stunning performance that it was
(thanks, youtube),it wasn't even close to the rules.

Personally,I'd have disqualified them

They know Harry's got the public vote, and Chelsee will pick up the down market/former X-factor viewers or common northern types.
What a bigot you are.

It is clear from all of your posts that unless someone says you are right, you won't be happy. Sorry, but I can't oblige you.
Hee, hee. That's what I was thinking.

I have a suggestion SCDchick - start another thread and we'll all promise to keep out of it: then you can post away to your heart's content.

And this started all the controversy with marking this year. Len seems to have totally gotten over his puritanical view of dance content. Especially it seems to me where Jason is concerned. A lot of Jason's ballroom dances were out of hold for a huge part of the routine.
