Mystical - I agree Artem and Aliona really misunderstood the showdance concept. It was basically a gymnastics competition.

James got it right - but there was no way I could bring myself to vote for Pamela after she was overmarked so badly in the semis

I think I'll be disappointed if there isn't at least one horrifying showdance this weekend.

My money's on Jason, although, after a season of playing it well Pasha might have choreographical break down or Aliona could make Harry dance dressed like a bat.

Don't give Aliona any ideas- she got all wrong in the final last year from the music choice to the concept she came up with

That is why I think Kristina will produce the best showdance- because she has seen how it is won by Camilla and Ola- and she has seen how you can blow it - Brendan and Aliona

When Aliona said Rock and roll we all presumed it would be like Elvis et al, not a dance based on the Rock that rolls after Indiana Jones

It's so predictable when Aliona said it would be a R&R number that the first thing that springs into my mind was their Grease Lightning routine. Perhaps Harry will get his chest out again and dressed like a pink-lady, sorry, t-bird and do all these too-cool-for-school expression while he flexes his chest and abs and slick his hair with his mouth agaped like this , with some daredevil lifts thrown in (like the swingathon).

Oh well. I would rather Aliona be predictable than her going all funny and dressed like a bat or a giant marshmellow or whatever...

Hey she might have him dancing to Bat out of Hell - and someone dresed ljke a bat.

If Kristina is smart as I think she is- she will go for a song that is a guaranteed floor filler, Love Shack would be a great choice, or something by the Bee Gees or even Abba. Dancing Queen has been used twice for a samba - but it is crying out to be used as a showdance

Zoe and Ians seems to have disappeared from the BBC bit from YouTube.
This is how Doctor Who fans must feel about missing episodes.

I want props. I want odd music choices. I want inappropriate leotards and badly executed gymnastics.

I want to see something that makes me chew my fist out of sheer embarrassment. I want the judges to be so appalled that they really struggle to even semi-articulate their most overused cliches.

It would not be a Strictly final if none of this does not come to pass.

Mind boggles with the triple negatives: It would NOT be a Strictly if NONE of this does NOT come to pass.

So, what are you saying shrew???

Aliona just posted this on her FB: "Taaake myyyyyyy haaaaaand la la la la take my whooole, my whole life tooooo" A clue to the song of their AS maybe? This morning she posted "My goodness...choreographing yet again...American Smooth nearly done! Loooove our song! Showdance rehearsal went groovy today, very pleased!"

Would be a good song. Ingrid Michaelson's version is simply beautiful. And again a style that would suit Harry, since he can be all serious and intense and no one will blame him for it!

Any clues about Chelsee and Jason's songs?

ooooh, I like the song! Very fast, suits Chelsee.

But I have a fear Pasha is going to go lift and disco crazy with this.

As I like Jason least I am hoping he'll be landed with the showdance from hell but I think Kristina's too bright a cookie for that.

Yes, I too would like a carcrash/shipwreck in there somewhere. You'd think Aliona would oblige but she's been good the last couple of weeks.

Pasha said their dance would be funky. I think that could work well. Chelsee's good all round.

The dancing may actually be rather good on Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised.

Will be Harry's for AS or Showdance. To me it suits a Viennese Waltz (which you can have as ASmooth base)

Depends which version they do. Ingrid Michaelson's is not a VW,

And this is not the only version. Lot's of singers have covered this song.

Where did you find out? Did they say which version they'll be doing?

I'd say that version is far too slow it would have to be Rumba based then. (They'll probably pick a well known named version as well knowing the BBC)

Me too. I still remember Hannah K and Victor S. did a showdance years ago to that specific song and while it was very beautiful;it was all about lifts and too much gymnastic.I really hope thats not Pasha's inspiration

Can't see it being like that to be honest

In Hanna & Victor's showdance the song was in a slow tempo. I've a feeling Pasha will be going for an upbeat version, like in the Dreamgirls soundtrack; if so, the faster tempo will dictate a different style of choreography to that showdance.

No doubt in my mind Tom and Camillas I watched the pro showdance champions on Saturday
and wondered when the dancing was going to start. More like circus acrobamts .

Much as I supported Alesha, I HATED her showdance. It's so disco-y, and the last lift and drop was a near disaster.
Oh-oh - Pasha's said that Chelsee's showdance will be funky and disco-y
