Does anyone know on what basis is the order in which the celebs appear in the opening credits determined?

I'd assumed it was alphabetically but looking at the current order, obviously not:

Harry Judd
Alex Jones
Jason Donovan
Chelsee Healey
Rory Bremner
Holly Valance
Audley Harrison
Edwina Currie
Dan Lobb
Nacy Dell'Olio
Russell Grant
Anita Dobson
Robbie Savage
Lulu

I know it's male/female, but I don't know how else it's decided

It's normally the most "talked about" star last- Rachel Stevens, Ann Widdecombe & Lulu!

I think it's more about what they are described as,
Like Jason Donovan "superstar."
I think such and other descriptions are for most, BBC speak for, "naff all going on in their lives for the next three months."

But when we 'meet the stars of our show' Jason is always introduced last, I think? Which is perhaps a bigger honour...

What do you all think?

well if Holly had been above Rory, the final 5 would have been bunched together.

They put Widdy and Nancy on the "HO!" both years, specifically to amuse me. From what I remember that honour always used to go to Camilla. (Here's the credits to Series 8)

Well spotted!

And viewing figures fell the most in each series when Widdy Ho and Nancy Ho http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhHvxliQ38g were eliminated.

Monkseal strikes again!

Brilliant - I'm crying laughing again today (DJ's description of Greyson's morris dancing did it first time!)

Swap Chelsee and Alex and the top three would've been together.

On the US Dancing With The Stars, the title sequence has always been alphabetical, whereas here seems to be "in no particular order". Nearly all the title sequences (can't find series 1 and 3) are on youtube, and I can't spot a pattern!
