If he got an older lady I hope it is Bonnie Langford - I would hate his choreography to suffer because he got someone with a limited technical ability.

I concur. I'd love to see Artem dancing with another guy!

Oh god! Is that a tactful way of breaking the news that Bonnie Langford has been signed up?

Anton's act has worn very thin. His attitude to Nancy was awful.

His time is very much up.

Katya can go and Ola can go but I'd actually like James to stay especially as Brendan is much cheerier these days.

Brendan's stepped up to the plate this year and more than proved his worth for next year.
The remaining Pro's.are all a good mix of size, personality, and age to suit all the different celebs. and I think they should all come back tbh. I just hope Aliona and Artem get the older contestants next year and others that got lumbered this year get decent celebs. for 2012.

If James and Ola go it will not be a surprise I guess. They'll have brought it on themselves - outspokeness and mediocre choreography.”

i think both the Jordans did a splendid job. James took a mediocre prospect and developd her into something credible with the biggest progress story of the series. if you looked for a life changing development its was Alex who had it as she got more confidence in herself (Chelsee is probably next) He argued with the judges but there's little point Craig and Len saying things for effect if no one responds, and there is no effect.Psychologically his celeb needed strong support after those reamrks too - and James provided what was needed. Brendan has moved more into a moderate role, but he's only been able to do so in casting terms because James now does what he used to.

Ola did a great job again with a weak contestant who was important in expanding the show's viewer base. She got him well into the show and produced routines good enough to start the show with enough bang to pull in an X factor beating audience. She still does what she does better than anyone, she's pulled off a large percentage tof the more spectacular moves that TV needs this series, and she gets the best results with the weaker dancers. She's also got a stronger TV presence and personality than any of the other females and a wider outside fanbase. It looks utter folly already to have Robbie on tour without the person who made him even remotely watchable. You would hope they wouldn't lose her and replace her with a less popular and noticeable dancer.

Far too good a dancer. She's one for a series where everyone starts with massive dancing experience but not in ballroom dancing - but they wouldn't do that, some have already won Dancing on Ice and they probably couldn't afford most of those people.

Good point. I'd forgotten she was a dancer. Just found her intensely irritating.

I agree with whoever it was who said this is a very subjective topic.

I personally would join the posters chained to the BBC for axing Brendan if they axed Anton. I adore him, and want him to get a decent partner so he can show what he can do. (Failing that I'll get famous and demand him. Show everyone what a saucy rumba looks like lol)

And again, personally, I'd throw a street party if Artem went. I just do not like him one bit.

I wouldn't cry if Natalie went either, or Pasha. Just never warmed to them.

I don't want the rest to go either. Erin is just a stunning dancer, James and Ola are awesome. Brendan - well where would we be without rentapro? Katya, Robin, Kristina and Aliona are ok. Vincent and Flavia are to strictly like pills you need to take to keep your heart beating. It needs them.

But I know many of you won't share my opinions. Many of you dislike Anton, many love Artem.

Best thing TPTB can do it adopt the phrase, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" look what happened to x-factor...

Saw her as Roxie in Chicago last year - danced the full routine - phenomenal and so so bendy... Some people find her irritating but that and looking driven works for Roxie.

I think there's a genuine problem with Anton in that if you give him someone at all good they suffer when it comes to latin. If they give him someone truly bad he's now turned it into a laugh where he doesn't bother with the dancing. He's dug himself a hole there and if they don't give him someone bad it will be unfair on who gets him and if they just give him someone bad yet again its getting to look very stale.

I think some of their other pairings this year were problematic too and it might be better if they forgot about PR stories and who has done well previously and just matched the physiques together. As it is they seemed to pair Lulu and Holly for stories and Vincent and Ola and Brendan seemed destined not to get anyone good because they have atready had someone really good or won. Turning the pros over for change's sake, or because they don't want the same people in the final multiple times, or losing people because Craig has an issue with them, is a change they can't afford

In all honesty surely the BBC should keep the most talked about, James, Ola Artem, Brenden and Pasha and loose the ones who are just sort of there, for me this would be Robin and Natalie, nice enough but nice rather than exciting

but age does have a say as well as some of the older pros have nothing new to show us, Anton and definite weaknesses showing when dancing in group dances

Agree. It was almost as if they were deliberately handicapping a couple of celebrities/pros which ended up unfair on everyone.

It's about time Anton was dumped.

His attitude to Nancy was appalling and his constant wittering over Tess really grates on me. He's like a lot of people who think they are highly amusing but actually aren't.

He reminds me of a child who has to be the centre of attention.

If he goes then I suppose Erin will have to leave as well. Considering the duffers she has been getting in recent years it would be no great loss, although I do like her.

Ola and James are getting a bit like cucumber ... always repeating, so I wouldn't miss them either.

I agree that Anton is in an odd position for next year. I suspect the producers are giving him the naff one because they suspect he knows how to make the most of a comic situation but the routine is becoming too predictable and is way past its sell-by date. (Thus suggesting that we'll see it again next year).

If he is going to replace Brucie as the presenter (and like Brucie he will have his detractors), he might need to go to Cheesy Saturday Night Family Show Presenter School first to fine-tune his 'persona'. I suspect he has already passed a few modules there. I don't like Bruce's presentational style that seems like something from a 70s sitcom doing the rounds on ITV3 - pure fondue, smelly fondue but I recognise that he will be a hard act to follow because of his popularity with certain sections of the viewing audience. Whoever follows him will also have to have a thick hide in order to deal with the 'Bring back our Brucie brigade'.

Maybe Anton could stand in for Bruce once or twice next year to see how it goes?

I'd like to see James and Anton leave. Anton made a real fool of his partner this year, although I hasten to add it was'nt a difficult job. James does'nt know when to stop and his behaviour does'nt amuse me in the least.

TBH I wont be surprised if Anton &Erin are not back next year. I think that James & Ola will still be there next year unless they want to leave. I dont mind if James leave but I like Ola and I dont think she will stay if her husband goes.

She'd probably laugh because one of the dances of the last series was Artem's rumba with James.

If Artem goes than I shall never watch SCD again. Brilliant choreographer and dancer, handsome as well. You have to have these younger professionals coming into the programme, some of the older ones just could not handle the younger Celebs.

As for Artem having a duffer, poor Holly although a lovely girl really was virtually a duffer as she really was not committed to the show until she found herself in the bottom two twice, I think Artem had a hard time with her and he did very well.

He is going with an older women on the tour "Nancy" who could ever wish that on him.

Artem to return next year please.......and not with a duffer !!!!!

Theirs no way Holly can be declared a duffer! Someone like Edwina is considered a duffer!
