A duffer is someone who has very little, if any, dance ability or sense of rhythm. Holly had both of those. Lack of commitment is another problem altogether, but that can befall any pro whether they get a naturally talented celeb or not. On the converse, some 'duffers' can work really hard - look at Russell.

The first really suffer Artem will have to cope with is Nancy - I'm very interested to see what he does...

The decision about which pros to retain and which to 'let go' to make room for new blood goes way beyond dancing/teaching ability, much less DS forum popularity. Those who 'add value' in terms of their willingness and ability to do other promotion for the show (and there is a huge amount during the run) or who are simply more accessible to the media because of their higher visibility and versatility are likely to stay well beyond their 'glory' competing days. Those who are prima donnas with the production company are likely to go despite repeated success. Frankly, even in these globalised times, the Beeb are always going to keep one or two home-grown pros, however popular the Russians are. It's really not all about the dancing anymore!

Every year I hope to see the back of James, maybe this year might be the year! I suppose Ola would follow James.

I have enjoyed Anton and Erin's contribution to SCD but I think they need putting out to pasture now...

I think all the others have at least one more series in them but I would like to see Robin and Katya be given a strong contender just to see how they would get on.

For sure I hope that Artem, Pasha, Kristina and Flavia are back next year.

I totally agree with you about Ian, he is wasted on ITT. He is a terrific dancer, talented choreographer and always brings out the best in his celebs.

I wouldn't miss James Jordan or Ola. He never stops whingeing and her routines for Robbie Savage were absolutely dire.

I hope Erin gets another go, if only to allow her to exorcise the ghost of Colin Jackson's show dance.

James, Ola and Anton can poke off to light entertainment hell.

I've only watched these last two series, but I'd like to see Ian in action. Just watching him on ITT he comes across as someone I'd enjoy on the show.
