Not that loyal as it's been said before as he was nearly eliminated at one point and Mark gave him a drubbing in the semi vote. It suggests there are fan bases but there still needs to be a trigger in the show e.g. a trial or good dance to get them voting.

Harry is an EXCELLENT ballroom dancer. He may not be as good in his latin but his bad latin dances are still miles ahead of Jason's. So of course I am not equating Harry to Chris gurn-king-pivot-fetish Hollins in any way. Harry is more than above average dancer and that plus Mcfly fans will win him the title. Monkseal's parallells, while fun to read, is quite frankly irrelevant (except the perceived undermarking bits).
You seem to have an ever so slightly huge obsession with McFly fans hun. ![]() ![]() You talked about Mark v Dougie, our family voted for Dougie, not because he was in McFly, but because he was the contestant we liked the most. Mark was too much of a game player, but Dougie was just happy to be there. I don't think it's as clear cut with Strictly, if it was Danny would have won Soapstar to Opera Star. |

Harry will win because of Mcfly fans. Look at Dougie winning IAACGMOFH. Don't need to draw any more parallels, really. I guess it's fun for you in a way...
Were they really that big??? |

It is actually just like a rehash of last year, down to them even getting the same marks in the semi-final, and one of the dances even being the same (VW). And also up against a questionable perfect score (Jason/Pamela). I think most people on the show are variations on the same personality.
Would be interesting if we could put Chelsee aside for a moment and ask how many Harry supporters were Kara supporters last year? Bonus points if you also supported Rachel Stevens and extra, extra bonus points if you supported Ricky Whittle (technically I think the 'bot' that year was probably Zoe Lucker but she went out to soon, and anyway series 7 was a bit of a write-off anyhow). Conversely, how many Jason fans were Pamela fans last year? I guess that's why people like Gavin and Holly are so refreshing, because they don't fit the mould so to speak. |

However in terms of bookies' favourites, Harry has more parallels with Matt Baker:
Both were early favourites to win at the start of the series. Both were odds-on favourites to win going into the final. |

As for Strictly, I now saw in the unappreciating thread Harry was voted sexiest man in a gay magazine and with him posing in his whities (with a huge pacakge to boot), I am sure not only the Mcfly fans but Harry's gay fans would be voting in droves in the final. Not to take away that he's a talented dancer, mind. I just like Chelsee more, that's all, but I don't reckon she will win now... |

Hollins was the oldest winner, at 39, and he only got away with that because he was the height and build of a toddler.

I dont know quite how you are going to do the equations but for what its worth

Now if you really wanted to upset the non-app thread you should have been voting like crazy for Pamela, we might all have left the country

I tend to support women over men (that might just be cos they are usually the better dancers). The only men I've supported have been Chris (replacement for Zoe Lucker) and Harry (replacement for Holly). |

I think this withholding of 40s will provoke reaction from the voters. And Monkseal won't be the only person who draws this parallel between Kara and Harry. |

Here is a big coincidence for you. Kara used to date James Bourne from Busted I believe, and through Busted became great friends with McFly. She is still a very close friend of McFly's and attending Tom McFly's engagement party alongside Matt Willis recently, the only member of Busted who is still close friends with the band.
Matt Willis won I'm a Celebrity, Dougie won it after taking advice from him. Harry is in the final and certainly has a chance, he took advice from Kara before the show. |

Series 4: Mark Ramprakash and Louisa Litton Series 5: Alesha Dixon Series 6: Austin Healey Series 7: No one. ![]() Series 8: Kara Tointon Series 9: Chelsee Healey followed by Harry Judd a country mile away. Jason, in comparison, is far away in Australia going by this distance analogy... |

I agree with you on some of the points Monkseal made. But a few are valid and actually important to the contest. Namely Craig withholding 10 from both Kara and Harry until the very last dance (well, maybe he'll forever withhold it from Harry). But there aren't that many people who don't think Harry's VW (and Kara's rumba) deserved the same marks as Chelsee's Paso or Jason's AT. True there was the head issue with Harry's VW that Craig didn't like, and there was the "illegal lift" split second in Kara's rumba, but there is a point where you have to give up being nit picky and bow to the technical superiority that the celeb has managed to acheive. There are always going to be mistakes to pick on.
I think this withholding of 40s will provoke reaction from the voters. And Monkseal won't be the only person who draws this parallel between Kara and Harry. |

Yeah they must be pretty close, I heard Kara will be a bridesmaid at Tom's wedding or something along those lines.
