You're having guests over for dinner but you can only cook with the contents of the top shelf in your fridge. What will your guests be enjoying tonight?

I've got 15 free range eggs, some butter, 4 different xmas cheeses from m&s. So methinks it'll have to be a spicy cheese omelet hehe

They can have a bottle of nicely chilled lager and can gnaw on a tired spring onion. If you're allowing the top of the door as well, then they can dip it in garlic paste, mayo, grain mustard or home made chilli apple jelly. I need to go shopping!

eta: what will your guests be munching on op?

It pretty full at the moment

Coconut and chilli dip
Chilli tomato dip
jams and marmalade
Soft cheese
6 eggs
Cream cakes
Sweetheart Cabbage
Carrots
2 pots of plain yogurt
pesto
Ham slices
Tesco mixed vegetables
Millet flour

There might be a few other bits and pieces in there.

Could probably try some sort of pancake starter with the flour and eggs, ham omelet with veggies for main and cakes for desert.

Bottles of water, lots of bottles of beer and a jar of mayonnaise that's too big for the bottom shelf (where the jars normally go). So we might not be eating, but we can certainly drink and be merry.

Its really packed at the moment. Mrs went to tesco yesterday evening and they had loads of stuff in the discount section. The cream cakes, cabbage, carrots, pesto,
Ham slices and mixed vegetables were all around 20p each. Also picked up 8 packs of tuna steak, reduced from around £5 to £1.50 (now in the freezer) and lots salads that the guinea pigs will love.

Without going to check to be sure, mainly eggs, jam and cheese, although I think they maybe could have some lee kum kee sauces as well.

Hmm, well my very top shelf only has coconut cream, baking fat, wholegrain mustard, cranberry sauce, sour cream dip and tomato puree. I think that's about it!

A saucey dinner it is then!
