piggy panic reflects a bit how she is not capable of coming up with anything very original. but she is capable of a lot of hot air.*

ask her to come up with a new crisp and she would come up with a slightly more salty crisp and then talk and talk about how she came up with this revolutionary new concept for hours.

crazy cabinet reflects james. he does nt say much, but he is a deep thinker and comes up with some very original creative ideas and has the risk taking bottle to run with it.

the popcorn episode showed in a nutshell the 2 candidates. james came up with the mediterranean idea, zara came up with nothing. zara did the 3 presentations and as usual talked the hind end off the donkey. nick said she was incredible. was she? she came across as arrogant, patronising and condescending. certainly i think the airline felt that which is why they placed no orders. they won the task because of james' concept, despite zara's manner in presenting.

£25,000 investment in zara. if there is a harder working 16 year old i have nt seen them. she will no doubt be a big success. her drive, ambition and passion for her line of work will no doubt ensure that. she has that self motivation get up and go that entrepeneurs need. it is a guaranteed return on investment.

with james its not such a guaranteed return on investment. he seems too much of a lazy bugger to start his own business. but within a corporation i think james will be more likely to think of a series of very innovative money making ideas and have the risk taking conviction to run with them.

so is that the ultimate irony? the ideas man, risk taker, james is more likely to get a good degree and get a good corporate job. and the more risk averse, less able to come up with original ideas, zara will no doubt have a very successful business of her own.

Crazy Cabinet was certainly different, whereas Piggy Panic is a variation on what has been done many times. However, sometimes there's a reason why something hasn't been done before. From what we saw of it, I thought Crazy Cabinet looked rubbish.

Agree. Crazy cabinet was childish and the political ignorance behind it carried through to the advert where the MPs didn't even look credible in their roles. Its an unadult game targetted at adults.

Piggy panic is a childish game targetted at children with a bit of simple entertainment for anyone older who likes pacman successors.Its also got a cute pig for merchandising and Zara was right you could add on more levels of difficulty. Games seem to be getting simpler and less difficult as producers rely on graphics so that might argue for piggie panic too.

Crazy Cabinet was ace!

Its no different from the likes of the Sims, you get to act in a day-to-day role a life you'd never ever get to live.

It has great potential, and James presented it superbly.

I think the developers saved James, as his idea was poor and sketchy at best. I am amazed they managed to produce something that looked quite playable from his brief.

If he was an ideas man, then where his ideas for the investment capital? Lord Sugar should consider giving him a sponsorship for his degree, but he just looks like another suit. At least Zara had a plan, and could use the money!

But her idea was poor. It was quite frankly cack.

I'm not sure what planet I'm living on when someone can praise either of those ideas. They were both terrible.

James was still spouting I’m a risk taker in his monotone voice :yawn: with Zara the Articulate explainingsuccinctly why she wanted to expand her filming empire. After her display of intent it couldn‘t be anything but game over for James. LS chose the correct person to win if only because when Zara checks in with him LS won't fall asleep during their conversations.

Like or loath Lord S, he does seem to follow through on many of the adult and junior candidates and take an interest in their futures, not just just the winners. He gets a lot of stick, but I think Darth may be on to something here - James will still be able to keep in touch with Lord S, I'm sure, and if there is any scope in him sponsoring James through university, or even some of it, then I have the feeling he would offer to do it.

Previous candidates, both young and old, have posted in various forums and written articles here and there which do state clearly that Lord S doesn't just hand out the business card or say 'keep in touch' without meaning it. The interview with last year's Junior Apprentice made it clear that Lord S is very much hands on with him, so I can't imagine (now he doesn't actually have to work much day to day if he doesn't want to) that his offers to the others are all empty promises.

True, not all winners (certainly of the adult show in its previous incarnation) had happy/long/fulfilling careers with Lord S working for him - it seems you sometimes got a better deal by coming second or third! Maybe it was his choice to change the format away from the original 'apprentice' prize to that of 'business investment' prize because it's something he's more comfortable with - I don't know, just guessing!

At the end of the day they are not even legal age to drink in a pub, yet they all have done a lot better than most of us would have, or indeed the adult contestants, and a lot better than being a chav roaming the streets stabbing people and taking drugs.

I am totally in awe of these youngsters, it's hard to believe that Zara is only 16 and James only a year older. Good luck to all of them.

I think Zara won fair and square. I got a little tired of hearing 'I'm a risk taker' - So what are you going to do with the money? Go back to studying - where's the 'risk' in that? Seemed to me that he hadn't even thought of what he had intended doing with the cash if he had won.

Yes, spot on. I actually felt sorry for James saying he was a 'risk-taker' and then 'I've never had a job, and 'could I please have the money to pay for me to go to Uni' virtually in the same sentence - could that be any less 'risky'?

Zara's already putting herself out there in the real world, having a go, and she had a clear idea of how the money could be invested in her business to help it grow. She had demonstrated a variety of skills to Alan Sugar during the process as a whole that show she has the capabilities to capitalise on this investment.

It was a total no-brainer of a decision, James had zero chance of winning the prize with that attitude and it almost made a mockery of his inclusion in the process - but that's another debate. On reflection I am sure that many of the other candidates that fell be the wayside may have been more worthy of the prize than James.

Yeah where did that risk taker nonsense come from? It sounds like James has had his nose in an economics textbook his whole life.....what a rebel.
