I dance salsa and I'm always a little disappointed by the salsas I see on strictly. They are never like the salsa I see in clubs. Just wondering what everyone thinks is the best salsa ever on Strictly. I think Brian and Heather's salsa in 2008 was the best choreography (even though it was on in the first week and Heather's timing was off). I read somewhere that Brian specialised in salsa and I think you can tell.

What does everyone else thin? Any other salsa fans out there?

I think that award has to go to Mark & Karen. Their Salsa was special.

But I really enjoyed Jade & Ian's as well (despite the distraction of Ian's red trousers!):

I loved Chelsee's salsa this year and its one of the best imo.Still mad that Craig only gave her a 7 for that dance.
I love Mark and Karen salsa.
Alesha and Kara T. salsa as well.

Mark and Karen- series 4. Proof that you don't need lifts or gimmicky costumes to create pure beauty, just energy, enthusiasm and good technique. I thought Karen did a fabulous job with choreography (for all you youngsters to Strictly, there's a reason she has her own corner on ITT!), and you could see how much it all meant to her when they got 40 in the final!

I must admit Heather and Brian did a fairly decent job above though Can't think of many other's that have set the world alight... non of this seasons crop to say the least- Chelsee did it too early to be superb and Harry's main shouting point was his chest

Ian & Jade's - That woman was under estimated and under marked, her samba was great as well, the best female samba I've seen on SCD

Flavia & Matts - Love the song "vehicle" by Ides of March and loved the dance

THis!

No other Salsa's come near IMO.

And Matt & Flav's was the best IMO. I watched it on the night - it was just so electric!!

I enjoyed watching that clip from Vincent again.... Hadn't seen it for a while so thanks for posting. It really is a brilliant salsa, and such a great song too.

Brian and Heather's is the only real salsa that has ever been danced on Strictly I think. One of my favourite Strictly dances. Matt and Flavia's comes close. I have been to many salsa clubs and concerts so know the real thing when I see it and it rarely appears on Strictly.

Mark and Karen were my favourite.
I do agree though that Brian and Heather performed the type of routine you see in the classes and clubs I attend.

Some nice salsas and a nice reminder of when we used to see them learning the dances and know what they were working on too rather than the silly comedy skits. I miss the old strictly. I think Matt and Jades salsas were the best. Heathers routine was the most authentic.
