A little help with what to wear to a wedding.

Hi. I'm hoping someone will be able to help me.

I'm going to a wedding on the 29th of December. I've never been to a wedding in my life before and given the time of year it is, I have no idea what to wear.

I have a dress that is quite similar to this, it's just a little darker. I could wear it with black tights and heels but I don't know if it's appropriate and if it is appropriate what sort of cardigan/jacket should I go for?

I would have said the dress is a bit short but probably fine if you intend to wear it with opaque tights and black shoes. As for the jacket, a black one is probably easiest to wear. Maybe a blazer rather than a cropped jacket?
A statement necklace to maybe break up the color blocking a bit.

Hopefully others will have some ideas for you but have fun at the wedding!

its more nightclubby than wedding unless your under 25 and then I think you can get away with it with black opaque tights. I too would wear it with a black jacket or crop cardigan and a black clutch bag. I'd keep any jewellery simple as I think the dress is a statement in itself tbh.

Have fun though, what a lovely time of year for a wedding! lots of nice anniversaries for the bride & groom to look forward to
