looks like a cable network might pick it up for a 2nd season.
Both TNT and Lifetime are interested in picking it up

When a show gets cancelled, yes it can be annoying especially if it ends on a cliffhanger ('V' anyone?), but I am really gutted about this show. The ratings in America were actually really good, but as usual TPTB don't care about that if they don't think enough 'younger' viewers are watching. Going out to get a life now

Anybody else watch the finale?
I think it was obvious that with the excellent ratings the show was getting, the makers thought they would be getting renewed TBH, because the ending seemed a little bit rushed. I enjoyed it but really didn't get any closure the the main story arc IYKWIM? I hope the rumours are true and it gets picked up by another network, but time will tell I suppose. |

I thought the last show was very poor and I felt cheated not knowing the outcome as to who murdered her sister.
It was also beginning to get predictable. I guessed it wasn't the baddie with his face blown off (just about everyone else got this too), I also said that the guy in the beanie hat wasn't Rachels killer, also sussed out the stepfather of the murdered girls friend pretty early too. I'm not saying this to make me out as some kind of genius, more that if an average Joe like me can suss this then surely so can most which rather defeats the object of a show like this. Having said all that, there was something that made me watch all 22 episodes and I feel a little cheated Carrie and the rest of the gang might never darken my plasma again. Quote:

I really enjoyed this series and for the most part the last two episodes, although I thought it was disappointing that the rest of the team didn't feature much in the finale. It was almost like they were shoehorned in somewhere just so they didn't have to change the opening credits.

I have to say this show surprised me. There was nothing overly new, the cases were pretty much by the numbers but I enjoyed watching it, and watched all the episodes.
I do hope it gets picked up by another network. |

Please can someone explain the penultimate episode to me?
As far as I understood, Carrie had meal with Morgan (?) Carrie was told to wait for phone call from Jenkins but met Morgan near a warehouse. Morgan was shoot only it wasnt really Morgan as he'd changed characters years before with Fox. Jenkins is found dead Carrie meets Morgan on the bridge and he goes into the water but no body found Jenkins phone rings police hand it to Carrie who calls back and its for detective Morgan? Did Morgan know abything about the sisters killer? Is he dead? Is he a cop? Ive watched it twice now and not only can I not work out whats happening I may well have got the names wrong as my memory isnt good lol |

Usually the picked up by a cable network line is a faint hope but given the pretty good viewing figures less so here. Must be one of the best rated ever axed shows.
Of course, as time moves and the cast get job offers this will become less and less likely. But I hope it works out as this was an entertaining show that deserved to be given a second run by a short sighted CBS. Would be nice to see it do well in a series 2 as the pilot that replaces it sinks and dies on CBS. Though as each day passes that is not looking good. |

The one you asked about and I described was definitely the last one.Did you not read the thing about it possibly being picked-up by another broadcaster then?

Ahhh. Really? Bugger
No. I only recorded the 9pm episode. That explains a lot Apologies for the confusion. Will have to wait for the repeat; or see if it's only Sky Anytime here on VM. That said, am better not watching it as it does end on a cliff-hanger (Which, to be fair, the 9pm episode did too )(Oh and just to clarify, the cock-up was mine and not Tivos )
