CBS might be changing their minds according to this:-

Fingers crossed.

And so they should! This was definitely a grower, glad I stuck with it.

Good news to see there are some sensible folk still working in TV land.

This was possibly the most absurd axe of all time. A show that was working, got better as it went on, and had steady ratings beyond 90% of other shows.

So dropping it to take a risk on new pilots was always an odd strategy.

Did actually dump the last 2 eps on my Sky+ when it was axed, as it ended on a reported cliffhanger.

But am glad that there is a chance of it to come back, so at least the main story arc could be completed.

I kept hoping, even though it seemed stupid to hope, and now look... hope it gets confirmed!

Bad news, TPTB have dumped three of the actors.

I'm gutted about this, thought they all worked brilliantly together.
Also, Kevin Rankin is hot!

The problem with the series as a whole though, is that it becomes too reliant on Montgomery's quirks that the others become superfluous. Rather than them chasing down leads that run cold, they may as well just sit back and wait for the inevitable moment when Montgomery remembers a key clue and then just go out to make arrests or follow her clues.

The characters played by Vaidya, Gaston and Rankin are essentially just to fill gaps to stretch out the cases. That said, you still need support cast to fill out the show, can't say I see it being much good if all the action centers around Montgomery (even more than it did already) with a bit of help from Walsh and Curtin.

Who was that semi cute/semi geeky tech girl that tried dating Rankin's character? She was decent enough in a support role.

I bet Kevin Rankin wishes he hadn't left Justified now.

Regards

Very nice.

Just realised looking at that link that they seemed to phase the mother with Alzheimers out. Did she die and I missed it, or did they just decide to move away from that side of the storyline?

It's a pity that Gaston and Rankin in particular have gone as they added some "character".

Hopefully Britt Lower stays on though it must be open to doubt with Rankin's departure.

Glad Jane Curtin is staying as the series really took a turn for the better when she joined. Not seen much of her since the great show Kate and Allie in the days when Sky was free (!) but she can still act.

The latter. ie you didn't miss anything, I'm glad they did too, to be honest, as it added nothing to the show.
