So I pull up some stats from youtube regarding the judges favourite and contestants favourite dances for all 3 finalists. The numbers are the number of viewings, number of likes, number of dislikes and number of comments. Thought it might be an interesting way to see how SCD fans outside this forum rate the finalists.

For fairness I've only used one youtube user's videos, MrAtariST. He uploads the full episodes on youtube, so he has videos of all 3 finalists.

Chelsee & Pasha:
Jive - 27,714 viewings, 102 likes, 0 dislikes, 63 comments
QS - 24,994 viewings, 77 likes, 2 dislikes, 47 comments

Jason & Kristina:
Tango - 44,504 viewings, 122 likes, 10 dislikes, 58 comments
QS - 16,891 viewings, 41 likes, 3 dislikes, 13 comments

Harry & Aliona:
QS - 24,439 viewings, 151 likes, 2 dislikes, 54 comments
AT - 62,203 viewings, 362 likes, 9 dislikes, 130 comments

Even though Chelsee danced that jive much later than QS, it has higher views. Not surprised that Jason's Tango has more viewings than QS but they weren't that far apart, are they?

Harry's AT generated a lot of controversy because Len moaned Harry didn't put in enough passion. Oftentimes, controversial dance like this gets much higher viewings (check out Chelsee's wardrobe malfunction tango for instance).

This uploader, I believe, is edy10, though I stand corrected.

Well I've got all of Chelsee/Pasha's dances downloaded,so I can and do watch them over and over again without generating any more hits on the source site.

I'd be careful with Harry's also if you look a the stats on the world map many views are coming outside the UK whereas Jason's and Chelsee's are more narrowed to a UK viewing audience.

It wasn't a particularly controversial dance Len has had a tantrum or something to moan about for much of Harry's early dances and they didn't generate views like his AT. Like it or not the most probable reason it got so many people was that it made a big impact on viewrs

I looked at it again to try & see the intensity everyone was commenting on. Still didn't, so there we go.

Not everyone felt the intensity.

Alternative perspective: QS is less of a rewatchable dance in some way; it's lower for all 3 people.

Others may have looked for the same reason. - Just a thought.

of course they may have. But given the huge number of views it received (a good 40,000 more than his average number of views for a dance) I'm not convinced that 40,000 people flocked to YT to check if the dance was intense or not.

I know in my work the monday after that week Harry's dance had lots of people talking for all the right reasons. I of course am always happy when my fave is the one being discussed in work on a Monday

I will hold my hand up and say a good 50 odd of those views will be me

Checking the stats is a good indicator of how many of Harry's views are McFly fans.

Harry's QS has lower views than I would have thought but when you look at the detail and stats Tom from McFly didn't link to that particular YT from his tumblr that week. He linked instead to this version

which has 12,279 views (combined the two gets you to around 37000 for his QS )

also don't know were the claim alot of Harry's views are coming from out with the UK comes from I checked and they are coming from overwhelmingly from the UK there is virtually no real difference between the maps of Harry, Chelsee and Jason

All of Harry's has a lot of views from Brazil, South America is noticeably darker on view counts than any of the others. Just look at the comments in Spanish and Portuguese below the videos as well

Also note that that Harry's videos are most popular with females aged 13-17,18-24 and 45-54.

Chelsee's videos are more popular with females aged 35-44, 45-54 and males 45-54.

Jason's videos are most popular with females 35-44,45-54,54-64 and males 45-54.

Jason and Chelsee's viewing fanbase are very similar except that Jason has the extra female fangroup aged 54-64.
So Chelsee could even finish behind Jason if their joint/ overlapping fanbase is split between them, as Jason has the extra 54-64 female fangroup.

This is an excuse to look at all Harry dances again and to add to those figures! I tend to watch on Aliona's website so it not really an accurate poll given that fans,, Aliona and Mcfly also upload the dances as well.

Last year I felt that Matt was being set up for a fall this year, it's open and I am looking forward to Harry dancing his heart out and I will be voting to try and get Harry to the last two and then.......who knows.....

Also, just got my tickets for the 02 can't wait...roll on SCD Tour!

The maps I saw on youtube from the particular uploader I mentioned show the same geographic distribution between Harry and Chelsee and Jason's videos. Are you getting your map from some other uploader? Or in some other way?

The ones I mainly saw were the ones Tom usually directly links. It's not as noticeable as it was I will admit that but it was noticeable a few weeks ago
