I know, whatever she does it's bound to be amazing.

Mind you, I saw that group called G4 on X-Factor singing "Creep" by Radiohead.
They are fantastic singers don't get me wrong,...but their rendition of the classic song was basically shit.
I don't think they understood the words of the song, and their smiley face version was diabolical murder.

It doesn't matter how bad Nadia is as a singer, even she would have done better than that.
Funnily enough "Creep" would be a very appropriate song for her.

I can see how the "smiley face version" would butcher an essentially so not smiley face song I agree they are good singers but a lot does depend on the song people pick.....and again you are right would be so much more suited to Nadia......

The "X Factor" single won't be Christmas Number 1, as it won't be released until December 20, so the earliest it can crash into the charts (as it will!) at Number 1 is Boxing Day-a Sunday this year!

PS- Is that a joke about the "Balamory" theme tune coming out as a single? If not- COME ON NADIA!!!!!

I really hope that it fails big time. This would apply equally to anyone else out of BB getting a hit single. It is "music" like that which is keeping real talent away from the charts, and gives us a lot of the current rubbish in the top 40. If she does get to no.1 I can see it going down in history with the likes of Mr Blobby, That School choir and the Worzells.

At least you can argue that people on the x-factor have some talent, if they are allowed to use it. The irony if Michelle gets a no.1 single after not even getting past the first stage of pop idol.

I'm sort of glad she is releasing it, as it'll be a kind of litmus test of the longevity and level of popularity that a winner can expect to get from the show these days. It won't matter how atrocious it is, as Craig proved with his hideous dirge - so yeah - the coverage and chart placement/sales figures ought to be quite interesting.

Craig only got to around Number 12 with his record- and remember

It was the first year of BB, and also the series finished months later (ISTR the middle of September or even later) so Craig was still in the public eye, whereas this series finished in July, so anybody who weren't (like us!) addicted will probably only remember "Fight Night"

I believe it is traditional to say it when the person in question lacks for talent and ability and luck may be all that's going for them....

If they were all to release singles of cover versions for Christmas, I think they should release the following:

Nadia - Smokin' in the Boys' Room (by Motley Crue)

Becki - Sealed With a Kiss (can neither recall who did it originally nor be arsed to Google it, so the one that Jason Donovan covered)

Stuart - Michelle (The Beatles). What else?!

Shell - Barbie Girl (Aqua) - I'm thinking more for the video here. She can do that highly annoying, irritatingly twee 'clockwork doll' dance of hers for a whole 3 minutes.

Vanessa - You're So Vain (Carly Simon) - so she can sing it in the mirror to herself.

Jason - So Macho (Sinitta)

Victor - could really ham it up for Gangsta's Paradise (Coolio)

Emma - Stupid Girl (Garbage)

Ahmed - Revolution (The Beatles)

Kitten - Rebel Rebel (David Bowie)

Dan - could pout his way through I'm Too Sexy (Right Said Fred)

Michelle - Fool If You Think It's Over (Elkie Brooks)

Marco - The Time Warp (Damien)

Puh-Puh-Puh, the original "Sealed With A Kiss" was recorded by Brian Hyland, in (I think) 1963. And when Jason Donovan's (IMO-so I don't get into trouble!) inferior version got to Number 1 in the 80s, Brian Hyland's version was re-issued, he appeared on Top of the Pops, and honestly looked about 100 years old!

Puh-puh-puh, very good except I would choose an old bros song for Michelle. I think when will I be famous will be a lot more suitable for her.

Thank you for that christygreer; it was bugging me so I was going to Google it once I'd torn myself away from here. No need to now.

No, you're right - it was inferior - no doubt about it (imo )

Heheh, you're not wrong ST; faaarrr more apt!

And thinking about it, Shell could do an 'ironic' cover of "We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off"

You're not wrong.

Can just hear Nadia/Jorge singing these lines.

I don't care if it hurts, I want to have control
I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice, when I'm not around
You're so ****ing special
I wish I was special
But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here, ohhh ohhhh

Scary stuff

I hope for the sake of planet earth that any song by Nadia goes directly into the 99p bargin bin. Her voice was grating enough throughout BB, without having to imaging her singing. I think I will get someone to run thier fingers down a blackboard rather then listen to it!

Good choice in singles to cover, however I find this a brillant song, on that should not killed by Nadia. (or the X-Factor lot either )
