Why not, I only like theme weeks when they are quite open. 80's week can be made to fit any contestant, but would have a certain nostalgia factor to it too, and the most memorable performances from recent series tend to be of forgotten older songs that contestants resurrect.
The 80's in one of my favourite genres ..... the only downside though would be if some of them totally butchered songs that I consider classics of the genre ... I usually find in these shows it's very hard for the contestants to compete with or top the originals
Love the 80s but can't see it working as a theme when they are trying to be so "current". Tulisa would struggle with song choices as well as the 80s were those wonderful days before her urban style dominated!
The theme weeks don't really work for me - apart from a vague heroes type one. All they do is shaft the contestants the producers want out.
