Definitely not blonde although I first saw her as a blonde and am partial to that look on her. I'm pretty sure she has naturally dark hair. A very old photo from her competition days shows it quite dark. Don't know if I can find it again but I'll look. It will be under her previous name, Aliona Vetrenko.

I think she's beautiful. I love her hair this year; last year that purple shade was a bit but she's toned it down a lot this year and it really suits her.

Ah yes I think you're right, you can see dark roots in some of those pictures. Sorry for the confusion, I'd only ever seen pictures of her as a blonde or redhead

The funny thing is that it wasn't her choice to change her hair but the producers'. They told her they had "too many blondes" and asked her to change it to red. Of course she was very cooperative and immediately agreed. She posted photos on her Facebook when she first did it and asked what everyone thought.

But I agree that the lighter strawberry blonde suits her much better than the previous deep pink-red.

I also think Kristina looks better than ever. She actually looked older (to me) and less svelte on the DWTS tour a few years back. Now she looks sensational.

I hope Aliona wins the glitterball with Harry.
