Wow that is so bad, I wonder if viewers thought it was a repeat showing? So many HP it can be confusing for viewers.
![]() With HP dominating primetime it looks like ITV1 recorded a poor primetime share at or below 12% for last night. Bad start to 2012 for them. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Feel a little sorry for ITV1. With a big film premiere like that, you can't accuse them of not making an effort. |

Seriously, super rating. Looks like Robbie's fears for it were unfounded.
I am personally pleased it achieved good figures. I enjoyed the first series, and have been looking forward to more. Looks good for a series 3 if this continues...

I think it was just too long and had the worst competition, maybe viewers have had enough of Harry for now, wasn't the premiere of the final film on Sky Movies (Box Office) last night also?

So Robbie's tongue-in-cheek prediction of the Harry Potter premier rating lower than the POTC repeat of New Year's Eve proved to be right.

Oh great, a 2 d.p. rating that ends in a 5, my favourite. Sherlock can sod off (especially for not coming in a little lower).
Seriously, super rating. Looks like Robbie's fears for it were unfounded. (And if anyone knows whether I should round that down to 8.7 or up to 8.8, I'd appreciate it )

If it doesn't affect the RPG overall leaderboard too much simply toss a coin, I went for 8.5m, so I ought score a 6 either way.

Only part 1. Part 2 hasn't been on DVD/Bluray for long so it probably won't hit Sky Movies until next Christmas maybe.

Three to six months from Sky Box Office > Sky Movies. |

![]() ![]() at Harry Potter! I know the competition was tough but I wasn't expecting it to be that low. That is absolutely dismal. The next repeat screening could rate really well if ITV schedule it nicely because it rated so poorly last night.Quote:
This is another issue. With SO many repeats on ITV1 recently of the older movies, they must have taken their toll as well and contributed to that awful rating.
With HP dominating primetime it looks like ITV1 recorded a poor primetime share at or below 12% for last night. Bad start to 2012 for them. ITV need to lay off the Potter films for a while now (I notice Philosopher's Stone is on again this afternoon), probably until next Christmas, when HBP can be given a nice repeat slot where it can pick up lots of viewers. Strong rating for EE, but I did think it could have managed 10m+, especially as Potter turned out to be such weak competition. Sky1 did very well all evening but Sherlock is still the stand out rating for me. |

Michael Rosser has just tweeted that Sherlock peaked at 9.52m in the first five minutes

Part one is currently on regular Sky Movies, and part two is on Sky Box Office (PPV).

These ratings make me wonder whether DOI and WAH may struggle against Sherlock more than expected... Although of course Sherlock did have a huge lead-in last night from a quite frankly superb episode of Eastenders (what a shame it didn't break 10m average, even if the peak was very good).

Yes, I knew someone mentioned it recently. Harry Potter is great entertainment, but in moderation. Today at 3.55pm, ITV1 is showing - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (the 1st episode) - 19 hours after showing episode 6....scheduling madness! If Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull repeats well tonight - Robbie will be speechless if it beats what HP got last night.

Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince averaged 3.45m (12.44%).
Very poor rating. Looks like it got totally squeezed out by the strong competition. ![]() That's the rating you usually see for a repeat. Very shocked. Very pleased for Sherlock though and it could hit 10m in the finals. |

At least they got through a Christmas without showing Love Actually once. I think that's worthy of some credit.
![]() What makes the Potter rating more perplexing is that OOTP got 3.4m for its FOURTH primetime screening against the SCD Final two weeks ago, so I had expected a premiere to be more resilient. I wonder how long it'll be before it gets another outing. |

CountryFile and Antiques Roadshow against Dancing On Ice Sherlock against Wild At Heart and DOI Results. I wonder if Christine Bleakley will damage DOI's ratings. My mum usually watches it but she cannot stand Christine, so she might yet pack it in. ![]() And Sherlock last night should timeshift to over 10m. Plus it's currently number 1 on iPlayer ahead of Eastenders. |

Pat's last EastEnders drew 9.76m viewers (36% share), peaking with 11.22m (39%).
Source: Michael Rosser Hmmm, that's a shame it didn't crack a 10m average - it deserved it. Looks like the unusual slot cost it a few viewers. Having seen that rating I'm curious about the BBC3 repeat, I had thought the late repeat slot, and late finish, would have rated poorly, but maybe not now I've seen the BBC1 figure Quote:

PJMillar, if you're reading this thread, do you have the ratings for: Absolutely Fabulous (BBC1), The Unforgettable John Thaw (ITV1), Hacks (C4), Got To Dance (Sky 1) please? |

Did they air it on ITV2 at all? If they didn't then they must have lost the rights to it as I can't imagine them not showing it if they could.
