I don't know. I was too busy looking at her legs.

The first strictly show was excellent tonight. I thought the second one was dragged out a bit and four dances was alot from the finalists. It was clear after the first two dances that Harry was going to win so I didn't find it as nail biting as other finals. An enjoyable show though and I loved the outfits

it was clear listening to the Radio 2 interviews with Chris Evans that Harry was going to win.

I bet McFly's management are happy first with Dougie winning IAC then Harry winning Strictly, it'll potentially mean more sales for the band. Danny's done PSTOS so maybe Tom will be hoisted onto a popular reality show.

They should out 26 UK Tour dates within Hours
4 new one's onsale Monday

Not really....Mcfly have a weird record deal.
They have their own record label but also have island records for promotion outside of the UK.
Everything they make on Tour/Tour Merch is the guy's own money. The sales from Music is split 50/50 between the guys and Island records. Take into account Mcfly write their own music so they will naturally get a little more money,

McFly have always written their own material although I believe James Bourne who was in Busted co-wrote some of their earlier stuff. I think they're a great band although I prefer their earlier material to more recent material.

They alway tour anyway so a new UK tour would be pointless.

Yeah i know....Tom from Mcfly also wrote some of Busted's 2nd album

They Tour every year but it's something they enjoy
the Tour next year is for the album it's going to give fans a preview of the new sound and of course selling out 26 Dates show's the fans still want to see them LIVE.

They do seem to be getting a lot of exposure.

Not the same thing but Tom recently appeared on The Cube and did quite well.

I have no idea how SCD will have done tonight. All I would say is that last year was undoubtedly boosted by the fact large parts of the country were snowbound on SCD Final Saturday. The great Christmas getaway didn't happen, and folk were stuck in their homes.

Also, ITV tried a bit harder this year.

Add in the slight year on year drop, and I simply can't see it achieving the dizzy heights of 2010.

Perhaps 11m and 12m, with a 13m peak? - rising to 12.7-13m average in the officials?

And if I had a tip for the Beeb this Christmas - stop running that bleedin Consider Yourself trailer. It's doing my head in now, and presumably millions more.

The full length ident version aired before both editions of SCD and aired again as the trailer immediately after SCD results. So if you watched SCD tonight, you saw 3 airings of it.

Whenever I see David Jason stood by that fireplace I switch over. I can't be the only one.

This could have a somewhat ironic ratings impact this year if a trailer designed to "sell" BBC1 ends up forcing viewers to switch over - presumably to ITV1 in most cases!

I really want Tom to do Dancing on Ice! Not sure if he would do it although if they're touring next year, he wouldnt have time
to train for DoI and practice for the tour!

13.2 million watched Harry Judd win the #strictly final last night. Not bad at all.

This could be the peak as he usually posts the peak. We'll have to wait and see for another source to update.

Thanks MattJ.

Still two very good figures for Strictly even if slightly down on expectations. And still their second highest rated finale I think. Super for Merlin in between.

Thanks MattJ. I think ultimately, not having inches of snow and everyone housebound has hurt SCD's figures compared to last year's finale numbers. In the officials, I suspect the first episode will just about end up slightly short of XF's finale rating. The results show is also down from the 2008 finale so it's the 3rd most watched final results for SCD ever. Still good ratings though. Terrific overnight rating for Merlin - its best yet and will timeshift to over 8m.

7.19m for Merlin - is that there highest ever rating? It could be there first 8m+ rating when they consolidate the figures!

Cheers guys.

So the results show was lower than the performances? That's pretty surprising. Still very good ratings, and the performances show was where I was expecting it to be. Bit low for the results but still a good figure. Can't see it beating TXF in the officials though.

Fantastic rating for Merlin. It's really set up for Xmas Eve now too, when it could get c6.5m in that 8pm slot even without SCD.

Tom was on The Cube back in the spring winning £100,000 for his charity. So he has done his 2011 appearance with the other two.
