Listening now... the beat is completely different from the Sugababes version. What song was sampled for the 'Babes version?

Its a mash-up by Richard X, with the lyrics from the Adina Howard song and the music from Gary Numan's Are Friends Electric. I think its genius, one of my favourite songs ever.

Deftones - The Chauffeur. I didn't realise it was a cover until I heard it on a Duran Duran CD my parents got with the paper, and I was like 'hold on, I know this!'

Richard X also did Liberty X's Being Nobody, a mash up of The Human League's 'Being Boiled' and Chaka Khan's 'Ain't Nobody.'

I forgot to mention that Cher's Heart of Stone is originally by Bucks Fizz.

And that Lemar's 'If There's Any Justice' was recorded by Hear'Say before they split.

I was amazed that this lovely song was a Bob Dylan song. Never heard it before this (even by Adele!)

My Way - written by Paul Anka) - who actually does it as well if not better than Sinatra (imo) - not sure who sang it publicly first.

the tune is a French tune though.

The original song was "Comme D'Habitude", written by Claude Francois and Jacques Revaux in 1967. A then unknown David Bowie recorded the song with a set of English lyrics he'd written for it, but was dissatisfied with the result and never released it. A new set of English lyrics were provided by Paul Anka, the song was recorded by Frank Sinatra and the rest is history.

Here's Claude Francois' original French language version:-

Girl with one eye from Florence and the Machine's first album. I was really shocked to hear that it was written by another band, the name escapes me. Gutted to find out it wasn't actually about a lesbian experience...
