Not sure if this merits a thread of its own so apologies if it's been mentioned already but here goes:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...sha-Dixon.html

I realise it's from the Daily Wail but apparently Alesha will say on the Graham Norton show tonight that Jason has no hope of winning the final. I'll be watching to see exactly what she says, but has she opened her gob once too often? Surely a judge shouldn't be allowed to make such biased comments?
She is a thoroughly stupid woman.

It seems it's ok on this forum to take the p out of Jason and Chelsee but to praise Harry for everything including posing without his clothes. Positive comments about Jason aren't allowed. I think some posters have tried to suggest Jason hasn't got a chance and Harry will definitely win. It's been going on for a few weeks Now it seems even Alesha has joined this pre-final propaganda by being dismissive of Jason.
Don't be so ridiculous - it's a forum, keep within the rules and you can post whatever you like about anyone. There are plenty of threads and comments disparaging Harry, and particularly Aliona. Same as there are threads about not liking Jason or Chelsee - it's called giving an opinion.

Of course some posters have tried to suggest Jason hasn't got a chance and Harry will win, because that's what they think will happen. Similarly plenty of people have suggested that Chelsee's got this in the bag for a wide variety of reasons, and indeed she's leading the poll on here by a considerable margin.

There's no conspiracy theory, and it's certainly not propaganda. It just so happens that more people think Jason will finish third than think he'll win. That's life, not all of them can win.

'Shock! Horror! Somebody states the bleeding obvious!'

Okay, I take your point that she's a judge on the show, but the judges' marks don't count in the final, so she can't influence the outcome. There may be Daily Fail readers who are so outraged by this that they vote for Jason: equally, there may be people who were going to vote for him, but who, as a result of this, decide to save their money. Swings and roundabouts.

Either way, I very much doubt it will affect the outcome.
Probobaly not, but she is just amateur night. She needs to grow up

I don't really mind who wins. But going by how they have all performed over the weeks. Both Harry and Chelsee have been consistantly good, with only the odd occasion mistake. Jason started off really well, but, whether his age is telling on him or not. he has been making a lot of very obvious mistakes in the latter weeks.

Let the best dancer win on the night, but please peeps don't take the trophy away from a worthy winner just because of what someone has or hasn't said.

Good luck to all three couples, and I hope we have a really nail biting final.
If the public vote for Jason then he'll be a worthy winner - as for his age - he's got some way to go before picking up his bus pass!

Why the assumption that anyone disagreeing with Alesha's unprofessionalism reads the Daily Mail?

You're being somewhat contradictory here.

You suggest that she can't influence the outcome - but go on to say that some may be sufficiently outraged to vote for him, whilst she might influence others to withhold their votes. I realise you did go on to say swings and roundabouts - but unless the for and against voters are equal in number then Ms. Dixon could unfairly influence the result.

Just one question. Is Alesha stupid because what she could well have done is send Jason's fanbase into overdrive.

Everytime she opens her mouth she puts her foot in it, whether it be being drunk on live television or being dismissive of someone's chance.

Methinks the lady needs bringing down a peg or two

I know it's a forum etc. I merely made comments that meant it seems like that. Note I even posted: 'It seems it's ok......' I didn't mean you can or can't - literally. I believe most are postings on DS are opinion.

Harry & Aliona have some lovely, reasonable fans. Reading & responding with them is perfectly pleasant. However, there are some posters who sometimes unreasonable. They diss the opposition quite happily. But the slightest whiff of criticism of their fave/s gets a knee-jerk rant from these rabid zealots.

There are such rabid zealots in all fanbases though, it's not just exclusive to Harry & Aliona. There always will be, and I think this series is actually a bit milder than in the past for those instances I think - wasn't it series 7 where it was particularly horrible?

It was just that your post made it sound like there's a conspiracy theory against Jason, which I don't think is the case at all. He simply doesn't have as many fans on here as the other two, and seemingly with the public as well.

The end of series 5, with Matt/Gethin/Alesha was a bit sticky; series 6 was hard hat and hide under the table; series 7 was lawks

It's a bit silly to vote and spend your own money to spite the judges, how about voting for somebody who you actually like. Or is it too bizarre?

I still think Gethin would have beaten Alesha

Had he done so wouldn't be stuck with her "judging" on strictly

Oh Gethin why couldn't you have won

The reason I'm disappointed in what Alesha said (IF the Daily Mail is reporting truthfully) is that when she was installed as a judge, we were led to believe she was going to empathise with and offer support to contestants (having been in their shoes herself ). But by saying what she did, she's doing the exact opposite.

I'll be voting for Chelsee tomorrow, but I'd be happy enough if Jason advanced instead and proved Alesha wrong.

No, I didn't mean a conspiracy theory.

I don't think I really bothered with DS for series 7 of SCD. I was a fully paid-up member of the BBC SCD forum then. Ah, those were the days. ....

I too will be voting for Jason, even though I think the others are also good.

If Alesha has been reported correctly, then she acted unprofessionally. She gets most use from my 'fast forward' button (I always watch about 15 mins after start so I can ditch some of junk stuff ). I'd love her to be replaced.

I never thought I would say this, (and I probably will never say it again) but there speaks the voice of reason.

If the remarks are as stated in the paper, then Alesha should be immediately replaced on the judging panel for tomorrow's show by someone who is unbiased-perhaps Karen Hardy.

seconded

Problem is Alesha could get herself arrested and still not be sacked from the panel

Sorry Karen does not come across to me as unbiased. She may be a fair and impartial judge for proper B&L competitions when scoring equally skilled couples but on SCD the judging criteria are very different with a professional & amateur to consider.

That's what I'm going to do.

Unfortunately this thread just created another opportunity for the Alesha bashers to go to town. I wish I had a £1 for every time someone suggests Karen to replace Alesha (I'd be okay with that btw) and we've even had a Gethin would have beaten Alesha comment too (no way).

I tend to pay naff all attention to what Alesha says. She's a classless little madam and her drooling over Harry this series has been nauseating to watch. Wanted Jason to win, want him to win even more now! Mind you I'd like Chelsee to win too! Maybe they could share the Glitterball trophy?!

The Daily Mail like to make things more controversial than they actually are. I'm sure she didn't word it how they're trying to make out.

She actually blurted out Harry's name on Alan Carr too I seem to recall. Said something like well look at him, all the girls love him.
Please dont vote for someone just because Alesha has made a silly comment. She always makes silly comments. Vote for the person you love. I didnt think there was a lot of anti Jason comments - only on the obvious board - but we all have a moan on there and let off steam. I thought Jason had a huge following. I actually love Harry and am getting a bit fed up with an awful lot of negative comments on here, but heh you know its just an entertainment programme and wros. Its also less of a dance thing now I think and more a personality thing and very, very dumbed down from its from series.
