I expect Harry has a bigger fan base but for me, he and Chelsee are equally good so I wouldn't mind if either won. That said, I am rooting (and voting!) for Chelsee.

I think I will wait for the final to see who I feel dances the best.

Whoever wins, at least it won't be a complete travesty, they are all deserved finalists.

another thread

For me harry is better dancer so I disagree with this title

But I think Chelsee will win because I seem to be a bad omen when comes to reality tv this year, first Tom won the apprentice then that bitch Rachel won Big Brother, nothing against Chelsee she was my favourite in week 1 with her waltz, but I have enjoyed more of Harrys dances (and falling in love with Aliona ), so would rather see them win, but I dont mind if Chelsee wins, I just think its crush time and you have to support one and Im picking Harry and Aliona

That's a good point. The final 3 are the best dancers so at least it won't be like series 7 when Chris Hollins won!

I think you underestimate the viewers!

Having said that, I wouldn't vote for Chelsee - unless the other 2 finalists were completely dire or fell over - because I don't think she's been as committed or worked as hard as Harry (or Jason come to that)

Harry for me is the better dancer, and I also think his attitude throughout has been exemplary.

Chelsee also has the advantage of being the woman in the partnership and being led by Pasha - I know she can't help that but it's still a fact.

Harry and Jason have to lead the dances, physically perform and control the lifts - it;'s much more difficult for the male celebs.

Whatever the result, it'll be a great final

So it is easy to be flung around in the air is it? Oh and you are not allowed another day job? All well and good committing the time when you have had nothing else to do and you live in London. Not so good if you are out of the area and have a full time day job as well.

Always cracks me up that women STILL have to be twice as good as men to get anywhere.

The professional females do still lead regardless of how it may appear. You only have to watch their fingers for signals. Having said that even Harry himself said ALL he has learnt is routines and no basics you can take anywhere. Where is the lead in that?

But - sorry you've stirred up my bugbear now - there are a lot of dances where the man frames the woman, and where the male celeb can stand there, often dressed in black, while the woman pro, often dressed in bright colours and very little, stands in front of them and does a huge percentage of the dancing. I don't think the women celebs ever get that. Both Harry and Jason have got away with that at times, imo - I'm probably about to be told I'm completely wrong by people who actually know about dancing! So I think it evens out - I don't think it's more difficult for the men.

What’s so good about this year’s final is I don’t think either Chelsee or Harry will be disappointed if the other one wins. Whoever wins they’ll each be pleased for the other.

I agree. It's mostly women who pick up the phone and vote, so females young and old will vote for Harry. Add all the McFly fans and gay guys voting as well and you see that it's inevitable really. That said we're rooting and voting for Chelsee and Pash too

Well said. Chelsee has a Rumba which is the dance along with the AT where the women do most of the movement.

I would agree that some male celebs do get away with the above, year on year! If the female pros get a useless guy, they have to try to make a spectacle, and they do as you say, wear very little and gyrate around while the guy stands doing naff all. I don't think that on the whole, Jason or Harry fall into that category - certainly not this far in.

I also appreciate that being lifted or thrown about isn't easy either, but Chelsee still doesn't shoulder the total responsibility of lifts and tricks.

I still don't feel that Chelsee has embraced the experience and shown the work ethic in the same way that the guys have She pulled faces every time 'passion' was mentioned, and physically moved away from Pasha which I don't think is necessary.

That said, she is an excellent dancer, and on the night it's possible that she may outdance J&H. If she does, fair play to her, but I don't think she will.

Funny how on ITT they are the most cuddly of the couples left. Just think Chelsee has less experience in life and is rather young for her age, which I find very refreshing.

Perhaps Chelsee is actually talented enough that she doesn't have to practice so much to get it right. Or Pasha trusts her enough that he doesn't make her practice every hour available. Aliona is known for being very demanding and Kristina is hungry for a shot at the glitterball.

So if work ethic is enough to win the glitterball anyone who has natural talent or ability should just walk away from the competition as they wont need to practice enough to satisfy you.

Yes, let's penalise Chelsee for being the match of the others on a fraction of the time - which she wasn't able to control. Putting together routines like her QS in the evenings after doing her day job shows me her work ethic.

Also, the female pros know how to hold themselves in lifts to make them look good, and how to get out of the lifts smoothly. As long as the celeb has the power to lift her, the pro is doing well over half of the work. For example, Audley and Natalie could do awesome lifts, I'm sure. The female celebs have to hold themselves, deal with the stresses on their bodies (ribs, etc.). It's not often that Dancing on Ice is a good comparison, but here it is. A partnership that is male celeb/female pro can often look better than male pro/female celeb in terms of lifts. The male celeb needs to learn the confidence to get the pro in the air, but once done, the pro will strike the pose to make the lift work. It's easier for the male pro to get the female celeb in the air, but they can't dictate how well they will look up there.

And yet Pasha said on Saturday she was an extremely hard worker ! Don't forget the VT training clips are edited - she's not always on her phone ! And she's always nestling close to him, when she gets through on results night, and leaning her head towards him often. There's plenty of affectionate friendship there, but as they don't fancy each other she's naturally embarrassed to act passionate - plenty of celebs feel like that !

Well said. Not forgetting if you see someone as a brother it is very hard to get the passion as it feels somewhat incestuous and therefore totally wrong. Yet you can still be affectionate and happy together.

So you're voting for them because of the Aliona factor then?! I knew when she wore that outfit for the charleston (and let's face it it was hardly a typical charleston outfit) that she was going directly for the straight male vote.

Nice to see her efforts weren't wasted.

(With that and the underwear photoshoot for the gay mag., they really have all their bases covered).

I didn't say that, and you know it.

Chelsee has been coached to be more affectionate with Pasha, but her joy on receiving good marks is natural and unforced. In the beginning she did pull faces at/about him and she admitted that she is easily distracted and that initially she didn't take the whole situation seriously enough.

I totally agree, if she doesn't fancy him it's difficult to pretend that she does, but she didn't need to make it quite so obvious, it could've remained 'unsaid'. She's an actress FGS.

I'm not disputing her dancing ability - I do think she had attitude issues but she is very young and was working 2 jobs for a long time.

Regardless of all of the above, I still believe that Harry is the better dancer.

To be fair it was how your comments came across.

As for whether she fancied him or not, at least she was honest. Given all the "fake" titles being bandied about surely that is better.
