Lacey Turner - Doctor Who Assistant?
There is absolutely no source to this whatsoever but is just something that I have been thinking about for a while, and now that it was been announced that Karen Gillan is leaving... does anybody else think that Lacey Turner would be perfect for the Doctor Who assistant role? She fits the bill extremely well... young, attractive, a good actress.

I never watch Eastenders but I caught her in Being Human and Frankestein Live and I thought she was good! I have no problem with her being the next assistant!

I could picture her as the assistant and think she'd be excellent.
I'd like that very much

I wouldn't mind her but I think it'll be another unknown.

I was sorry to see that Gillian is leaving but Lacey would be perfect for the part, even though it meant she would not then be returning to Eastenders.

Her character would be another Rose, a young cockney chav. No thanks.

I've said this before on here, so I agree she would make a brilliant Doctor's companion.

I think the part is beneath her, and would be a massive step backwards.

I have thought this since before she even left EastEnders, so I wish it would happen. |

Yeah, but what role would she be playing? Will she be playing a brand new character, or would she just be a recycled Stacey Slater?

She has been in EastEnders and one episode of Being Human. How would it be a step backwards? |

I think she'd be a great assistant. Certainly can't be worse than Karen Gillan.

Karen was great. She's also cuter than a basket of kittens...

I'm not an avid watcher of Doctor Who, not really my cup of tea, but from what I've seen of it I think she'd make a very good assistant.

Would be nice actually for them to have an alien assistant rather than human. We haven't had that since the relaunch

Don't be stupid. Doctor Who is part of British culture. It's 50 years old and the role of the assistant is extremely important.
She has been in EastEnders and one episode of Being Human. How would it be a step backwards? |

Sorry but I also think it would be beneath her! Doctor Who is a dreadful programme that can't be taken remotely seriously! It should never have been remade IMO. I was always shocked when David Tennant won Best Actor awards because to me, it's just not proper acting! It's like a CBBC programme! Sorry, I'm going off the post subject slightly now!! Lol

My goodness. EastEnders can be like a CBBC programme sometimes, David Tennant is one of the best actors in the country...Lacey isn't GOOD enough to be an assistant if anything.
And I think Lacey is a good actress, but do you know, it would be boring on these pages if we all had the same opinion wouldn't it?! Lol |

Lol, I knew my post would get someones back up!! You missed the point of what I was saying though. I wasn't saying DT was a bad actor, what I was saying is that Doctor Who isn't proper acting as far as I'm concerned because it's so ridiculous. So I don't think he should have won an award for that show!
