It seems to be that Claudia Wiinkleman has a pointless role now

I know Brucie gave up the results show to rest himself and Claudia Winkleman replaced him but since she left It Takes Two, her role has been pointless by just doing the Sunday show. Maybe either next year, they might as well have Zoe Ball the current ITT host replacing her or Brucie returns (after all it's recorded and he still does the live final but I'd rather see it live)

Claudia baled out of ITT for personal reasons, I think she was happy just being offered the Saturday/Sunday show. She has other BBC commitments.

The BBC were happy as it kept Claudia in the show as she had a lot of fans on ITT.

Zoe has established herself in ITT. Claudia won't want to come back next year.

The viewers were happy, no "placarded demonstrations" outside TVCentre.
So everything worked out fine.

Claudia may well bale out or not be invited back next year, if so her departure if she goes won't be as "dramatic." Although the BBC someone on here has said, won't be making any changes.

Just think "ratings" and you can pretty much work out why anything happens at the BBC.

I quite like what she does on the results show - she provides a nice change in pace and doesn't talk at contestants in the way Tess often does.

Considering Zoe also does the Saturday morning Radio 2 show at 6am, and has 2 children, don't you think she'd rather be at home in Brighton watching Strictly on TV with them rather than working 6 evenings a week?

I think Claudia adds a much needed touch of quirky humour and her raucous laugh (which I've missed from ITT) and talks to the contestants in a much more sympathetic way than Tess does.

Bruce found the weekly grind of one live and one recorded programme on Saturday night far too gruelling at his age. It's an extremely long day for all.

I can't remember to whom she was talking on ITT, it might have been Harry, but Zoe was talking about when she was competing on Strictly, words to the effect that how it took over her life to the exclusion of friends and family, which was significant as he said it didn't.

I don't mind Claudia's minimal role on the results show as it still means that we get a rest from Bruce, if only just for that short period of viewing.

I would still like Claudia to return to ITT but can't see that happening now since Zoe doing so well on it this year and there also being a growing support for Zoe to stay over Clauds coming back in. If the reason for Claudia not returning is more down to herself pref not to do ITT anymore (to spend more time with the kids and just focus on her other BBC stuff) then I respect her choice for that and Zoe would then be a perfect permanent replacement.

The only hope now is that if Tess was to leave next year and Claudia replaces her

It'll be up to whoever makes the decisions and whoever wants to put themselves forward for the roles. Personally I have foudn myself tuning out of ITT this series because as much as I wanted to, I just didn't like Zoe's style and I think it's more suited to radio. SHe doesn't have CLaudia's wit, intellect or warmth and I hope that Claud is back next year and does ITT and the results show (though I would prefer the results show to be much improved!)

I find Zoe too "hyper" for a teatime show that really be focused on analysis of the previous week's performances and the progress of those still in the competition throughout the week.
Everything else is just padding to fill half an hour. For much of the week I think there's more padding than watchable content. I record it and fast-forward through the dross.
But she can't be blamed for the content, just her "in your face style."

I hope Zoe stays on ITT she has had much better insight and shown greater understanding of the experience than Claudia ever could. Put claudia on as a contestant by all means!

Good grief, do you think she writes the script?

I agree, Zoe Ball has been excellent on ITT. I don't think Claudia would be missed, but she is a very likeable presenter though and I am sure she will be re-deployed somewhere else

I always tuned in when Claudia presented ITT but have not bothered so much this year. Guess that makes me a lone Claudia fan?

And so probably could a shark that can smell blood from the other side of Australia.
