The press release with the financial figures summaries Sky's plans for 2012

Is there a URL to register interest in the 40Mb service?

They have nothing to gain from it, and lots to lose.
Anyone paying £10(.25) a month just for the recording features - all that revenue would vanish overnight. Anyone who pays the minimum £20, but won't cancel because they want the recording feature, and won't pay £10 for it, and woudl rather pay £20 and have some channels, they would also be able to cancel, more lost revenue. So... for me and people like me, the primary purpose of the Sky+ HD box is its PVR/recording function (European Court and HMRC take note )Quote:

For £20 per month, customers will be able to access download speeds of up to 40Mb, with no usage caps The equivalent BT product currently offers 10Mbps upload for a similar unlimited FTTC + phone price (and is not locked to TV like the Sky product). |

It's not HD though. It was called the sky hd guide but wasn't in hd. The new one is in HD and is way better than the current epg with a few subtle tweaks to it too.
