Here you go Floopy, actual Dredd footage and not an Urban in site.

Here is another comparison:

His chin does look a bit longer but perhaps it's just a one-off 'chin looks bigger' photo. The other photos of Urban in the helmet don't give the impression his chin has grown.

"People say my helmet looks too big, Anderson. What do you think?"

"Looks fine to me, Joe."

It's possible to lower your chin or stick it out without opening your mouth.

The new film features Dredd chasing a 20th century truck!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CSu3rJNoMQ

Seeing the lawmaster made me feel like a kid again but I think Dredd 2012 may be in trouble if people see 'Dredd' - the toughest lawman of the future - chasing a truck from the 1970/80s. This does look a bit too cheap. Judge Dredd is meant to be ultra-sci-fi. Dredd doesn't chase 20th century trucks (well, not unless they're antique ones that perps have stolen from a museum or a collector's home).

This is very concerning because a cheap looking Judge Dredd film is asking for derision. The geek in me loved seeing Dredd chase a truck but then I thought "a truck from the 20th century? That's all wrong!!!"

Technically its
The unfinished footage features Dredd chasing a 20th century truck!
Who knows what changes there will be to this footage before it appears on screen. Perhaps you should wait until there is an official trailer at least before condemning material that the makers have not officially sanctioned as part of the film.

Come September, when the film comes come out I fully expect to hear a story along the lines of "Cosplaying Jimp goes Futsie Warp-Spasm during Bond trailer before new Judge Dredd film".

Regarding the 20th century van in the chase clip-perhaps it's a stand in van,pre-fx,much like the motorcycles in this behind the scenes clip from Terminator Salvation`?

Unlikely... but you never know. Don't forget, some of the vehicles were leaked:

I think that's what they're going to look like in the new film. Those cars look the same as the van in the actual footage - very 20th century looking:

Even at this early stage without the film being released, you can tell the film features at least one scene that is a blatant rip off of Robocop!

Robocop image on the left - Murphy and Lewis vs bad guys in van - image on the right - Dredd vs bad guys in van:

Looks almost the same! Lame, Mr Garland. What a hack writer you are. Not one shred of originality.

Ah - you're Coolfan123 on AICN as well? Really doing your best to trash the film wherever you can, aren't you.

Wish I'd realised where you were coming from before bothering to discuss the costume with you...
