I thought I'd have a look at the 3 finalists' journeys:
The first 4 figures are the judges' individual rounded average scores (Craig, Len, Alesha, Bruno). The next is the overall rounded average score. Since there have been 12 dances performed by each couple, I thought I'd split them chronologically into groups of 3, so the 4 figures in brackets are the average scores for the first quarter, second quarter, and so on. For a normal "journey", you'd expect a fairly smooth improvement for each quarter:
Harry+Aliona: 8.1 8.3 9.3 8.8 : 34.5 (29.3) (34) (36.7) (38)
Chelsee+Pasha: 8.0 8.5 9.0 8.7 : 34.3 (28.7) (34.7) (35) (38.3)
Jason+Kristina: 8.2 8.6 8.8 8.6 : 34.1 (33.7) (30.7) (35.3) 37)
So, both Harry and Chelsee seem to fit the expected profile, starting from about 29, and progressing up to about 38. As we might have expected, Jason started strongly with an average of nearly 34 for the first quarter, but dropped back dramatically to less than 31, before bouncing back to finish on 37.
