3 months later it's still everywhere - radio/tv etc and still in the top 5. Is this her most successful chart stint with a single since Umbrella? Bar Love the Way You Lie which she was featured on

Yep , 'We Found God' is her most sucessful single to date. I'd actually argue that it is bigger than Umbrella, it's going to be #1 again in the US next week (8 weeks so far) which is more than Umbrella's 7 weeks.. and in the UK it's going to be her next one millionth seller. She has no competition in the US, well except Adele's 'Set Fire To Your Faves' which will no doubt creep to the top spot soon

Katy Perry's 'The One That Got Away' is rising on the US chart and could knock Rihanna off too.

Well, in terms of sales, Love the Way You Lie, Only Girl and even What's My Name? have all sold more than Umbrella in the UK.

In the US, Disturbia, Live Your Life and Love the Way You Lie have all sold more than Umbrella.

I'd say Umbrella is still her biggest hit though (apart from Love the Way You Lie), since it was massive in just about EVERY country in the world.

Here's the 10 best-seling song of the year in the UK so far:

1. Adele - Someone Like You
2. Jessie J ft. B.o.B. - Price Tag
3. LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennett & Goonrock- Party Rock Anthem
4. Christina Aguilera - Moves Like Jagger
5. Pitbull ft. Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer - Give Me Everything
6. Bruno Mars - Grenade
7. Adele - Rolling In The Deep
8. Rihanna ft. Calvin Harris - We Found Love
9. Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull - On The Floor
10. Ed Sheeran - A Team

Price Tag, Party Rock Anthem, Moves Like Jagger and We Found Love will all pass 1 million sales sometime in 2012.

Well in terms of chart run's yeas six non consecutive weeks in the UK 7 consecutive weeks in the US in terma of sales no only girl is her biggest solo succcess (940,000) but love the way you lie is overall her biggest success with more than a million she has never had a million selling single as a solo artist just to reiterate a point

And to another poter Christina was just a feature moves like jagger is a maroon 5 song

4. Christina Aguilera - Moves Like Jagger

.

It's Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera. Let's not pretend that was her hit or a hit because of her. She sings on it for all of about 10 seconds.

We Found Love is now Rihanna's 2nd biggest seller in the UK! Only Girl (In The World) is to date her biggest selling single in the UK! Despite Umbrella's 10 week run at #1, it was released in 2007, a year which saw some of the poorest single sales in history!

Timbaland sings on Apologize for about 10 seconds aswell, but we all know he was the reason that song was a hit.

All Timbaland provided vocally was the "eh" in the background. It was a hit because he remixed OneRepublic's original and kept Ryan Tedder's vocals.

Anyway, I'm talking about Christina Aguileria apparently being the reason why Moves Like Jagger was such a big hit. Timbaland made Apologize a hit because of his remix not because of his "singing" on the track. Two completely different things.

It's not as "big" as Umbrella, that's a defining modern pop classic, but it very well may be as - if not more - successful as a single.

Umbrella was released in a period of very low single sales. Had it been released now it would be comfortably be her biggest seller IMO.

to me it is her 'signature song'

Umbrella transformed her from some two bit C-list singer who always had a successful lead single and then fizzled out after that with each era.

After Umbrella she became.. RIHANNA. (theres a difference lol)

I disagree it was heading that way anyway she just needed the right album and a massive single she had had 3 big number two's and a minor hit album wise with a girl like me which did sell surprisingly well (587,000 almost as much as Rated R ) Umbrella and GGGB just give her the boost she needed.

when umbrella was released music wasnt doing too well. but now that music has gotten better and more interesting umbrella would've been a bigger success than it already has. i was gonna say well the collaborations with t.i. and eminem are the biggest songs in her career as is disturbia. but i think one she did with eminem is the biggest one but maybe we found love is gonna be up their.

umbrella made rihanna the artist that she is today. comparing her style to beyonce's music. and her good girl gone bad album is her best work yet aside from her rated r and loud albums. she had like 5 songs in the u.s. be hits. the mega ones were umbrella, dont stop the music, and disturbia.

Wow I'm really surprised that Only Girl is her biggest seller. I don't think it's as impressive as any of her other material to date.

I can't believe people here are delusional enough to think that Moves Like Jagger was a hit because of Christina

Music is now better and more interesting? LOL

It was the other way around. It was better and more interesting in 2007. All the songs are sounding the same atm.

This. Umbrella made her, WFL has just continued her success.

Calvin Harris needs to be more appreciated, he wrote and produced the song. Kudos!

What fans will do to attain their favourite artist undeserving credit is laughable. Christina is a small feature on a song written and performed by Maroon 5. The song isn't a hit because of Christina, it's a hit because it's commercially catchy. The hook is the chorus, not Christina.
