I don't know, but it's a bit of a nuisance, I'm missing Robbie Williams on C4 now, but I'd rather watch this, it's interesting . |

A barbers shop quartet will never be more than a one hit novelty act. Especially one that names itself after an Apple Macintosh computer.

Rowetta will absolutely nail the live shows, she is the only act there that knows what playing to a really live audience is like she already has experience of playing live, from small Manchester clubs right up to and including GMex and big Festivals like Glasto.
Is it just me or did G4 commit an act of genocide against music with their IMO cringeworthy versh of Radiohead's "Creep"? (I feel the flames )Tonights show was a bit cheesy with all the family waiting at home stuff, can't wait for the "live shows" to start,we can all 'have a laugh' when Verity and her 'special voice' go to pieces...(I'm bad I am )Go Ro.....XX |

Simon and Louis have a very good ear (and eye) for what the public will go for - and in particular the public who will vote on X-factor. Sharon, while being my favourite of the judges, obviously decides that family and close friends know best - what with her nephew (Terry Longden) the stylist, and Mark Hudson the long time writer and contributor to Ozzy's music - deciding the final results. She seems to have gone with her gut feeling and not with her "commercial" hat on. (Interesting snippet on Mark H and Sharon's winning band here --> http://www.talkaboutthemusic.com/gro...ges/62000.html for those interested) I was very surprised (and disappointed) to see Andy from Sharon's team go. After the emotional breakdown of Terry during the final-15 audition and its standing ovation from Sharon - and the fact the public would have been touched by Andy's committment to his tetraplegic Dad - I would have thought he would be the natural choice. Compare to Tabby who forgot his words and who has also just become a Dad (which means "sorry Just-16 girls, he's not going to marry you"), and I think the choice becomes all the more stark. But then, the show's editing always marks it hard to get a real feel for how the contestants really sound, look and feel. |

Totally agree ojs. Andy is a huge loss to the show and, more importantly, the potential voting revenue from teens and older females who want to mother him.
Simon is really pushing Rowetta forward in the media. He is very astute but it could all backfire if the public feel she is being given too much advantage. |

Shocks of the night - Verity staying (btw, I LOVED that comment about Olivia Newton John). She's terrible...just awful. Not even a good pub singer...just a family party tune giver. Awful.
Lloyd going....? What the.....? Simon's mad on that one. G4 - killed Creep. That wasn't even funny...it was horrible. Roberta over Megan. Not good IMO. I'm glad about VWS - I like them and I think they'll do very well live. I was delighted about young Cassie...she's growing on me and is turning into my favourite so far. Tabby's voice is growing on me, but I find it very difficult to look at him. |

Jonathan is wonderful and his inclusion with G4 has helped soften the blow of losing Andy. I cant believe Sharon originally picked Andy then changed her mind overnight to Tabby. She should have gone with her first instincts.

And so she should be. An awful decision from her that may yet come back to haunt her.

Still trying to work that one out myself. Apt that they were singing it to Louis. Can't abide that man. |

im still mourning the loss of andy hmm, i think sharon's definitely dug herself a grave now, shes picked 3 singers that can be easily moulded into sterotypes; cassie, the little one could easily be turned into a teeny bopper  tabby, well he can be the wannabe rocker and that other one, who i don't think ive seen in the competition until she got into the final 5 could easily pass off as a jessica simpson lookalikey with the voice of dido  i think sharons choices were safe for her own good. surprised that simon picked verity over lloyd, lloyd had such a good voice, verity i thought wasn't anything to go about heh! louis, hmm well im glad vws and g4 got in, but im still undecided about that two 2 go band. not sure whether they could cut it on live tv but we will see on saturday whether they can, i could be proved wrong, but that wont happen and another thing about my anti-tabby campaign, if hes such a ''devoted'' dad, why isn't he at home with his girlfriend looking after this child? oh and by the way, i love rowetta, what a star she is, great voice, great personality not sure if she is the x factor though

Liking your stance on Tabby there Chuh. I think the G in G4 stands for Group.
