When is Christina Aguilera returning to the music scene?
She had a little spot on "Moves Like Jagger", she's looking great again and she is working on a new album.
I need the voice back!

I've been going back into Christina's old albums lately, and I'm obsessed with, "Fighter," and, "Keeps Getting Better." I can't wait for her return! Yay!

Nah it's a solid album. Her debut is too poppy and is very dated.

i see that but songs like genie in a bottle, come on over baby and what a girl wants are still being played like their still big hits.
The singles on Stripped are played alot too and it has stronger album tracks. I think her debut is her weakest album, i never listen to it. |

I think she's releasing next year, probably to coincide with the second season of the reality TV singing competition she's a judge on.
Also, to the person who thinks her debut is better than Stripped; WHAT?! |

We'll know she is coming when she sheds that weight, cos she never goes into a new era looking chunky. She always gains weight inbetween making new albums and then comes back looking bangin.
Either way can't wait for her new stuff. Hope this era isn't short and she promotes like a beast! Like worldwide not just US. |

Hate to say this but, probably when she loses weight.
Not saying to be in successful and noticed in the music industry you HAVE to be thin, but SHE does because of who she is and used to be. Sadly for her not a lot of people will take her seriously if she carries on looking the way she is/did. (I haven't seen any very recent photos of her) P.S. Come ON! Stripped is defo her best album to date! "I am full blood boricua!! Reads the tattoo on his arm..." |

The weight thing is unfortunately an issue, as sex appeal is important when it comes to artists like Christina. She built a lot of her image up on sex (Dirrrty), so she needs to recapture some of that. Not to mention that she doesn't really suit curves - and I know that's an awful thing to say, but she just looks like she's having a breakdown when she unleashes the chubby child within her.
However... This in mind, I do sort of think she's past her best. *Shot*. She needs to completely reinvent herself for the better (Mariah Carey's transition from Glitter/Charmbracelet to The Emancipation of Mimi was immense and gave her a brand new peak) if she wants to succeed. I'm happy for her to come out and blow everyone away - her voice is incredible, and I know she's capable. |

Why on earth would anyone return when they've "shedded the weight?"
What do most "overweight" people do? Stay indoors for a year until it's gone? Anyway, it seems she's "shedded the weight" judging by these pics: http://www.aguileraonline.com/2011/1...n-2-promo.html http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xlOTmFm9s2...1470992140.jpg |

It's the cycle Xtina goes through. Everytime she is at the end of an era, she gains weight but then just as she's about to drop a new album she gets back into shape. Nothing about her needing to lose weight to return. It's just what i've noticed through her career.

About the new single, basically the Head of Promotions for Christina's label (RCA) went on radio to talk about upcoming projects for their artists and he said Christina should be dropping something really soon. The radio DJ confirmed that her new single has been played for programmers at a winter music summit in NYC by her label. Its meant to be an upbeat, pop banger but still NOT electro/pop according to what those who have heard it said. She's going back to doing her own thing. |

That's good. The electro-pop didn't really work for her...

It's good to hear that Christina isn't doing an electropop song.
![]() All the other female pop artists (apart from Adele I guess) are doing electropop. Christina is going to really stand out from the others, which I think will be great for her. ![]() It's quite obvious that in a few years time electropop won't be popular anymore, so it's good to see Christina leading the way, as usual. |

I think the confusion about January was that we are getting the single then, not the album LOL!
I think the album will be around March/April. |

Hopefully she comes back with something that feels more like xtina and Bionic can be properly forgotten forever. |
