I wonder why they would even comment on who the favourite is. After it takes two yesterday we commented that Jason was clearly quite low on the list.

I'd just ignore all of it. Alesha has been pretty indiscreet and just compounded my impression that she isn't the right person to judge the show.

I often wondered how a celeb who may have happened to win one year suddenly bacame an expert. It is also curious how often she scores the same as Bruno.

Alesha really didn't say anything wrong.

Because the bookies have Harry as the favourite - that's a fact. There's nothing in that which says 'Harry will win', because nothing can guarantee that.

Last year they called Pamela "the favourite" on It Takes Two even though she was a distant third with the bookies. What a lark that was.

Glad to see Alesha branching out and writing BBC Entertainment articles under a pseudonym. I would imagine that's why her name's been brought up yes?

Alesha was asked an opinion who she thought might win and her answer was " I think its between Chelsee and Harry and the girls seem to like Harry "
So what part of that was indescreet ? She was asked an opinion she gave it , she is entitled to one same as the rest of us .

Jason looks absolutely shattered on that photo!

I watched Alesha on the Graham Norton show.....and this is what she said.

So what part of that was indescreet ? She was asked an opinion she gave it , she is entitled to one same as the rest of us .
I have`t really spent that much time on the SCD forum this year....but I read the "I`ll vote for Jason because of Alesha" thread and could`t help but wonder why a number of FM`s slated Alesha so vehemently.....Some folks really do seem to thrive on twisting the facts to suit their own agenda.

Alesha's comments are fine and not in the least bit out of order.......Harry will win, just as Dougie won IACGMOOH - there are lots of boyband fans around..............old and young

Maybe because he IS the favourite, and as such is being reported quite correctly on the BBC NEWS website?

Why would the BBC want him to win?

As a judge I don't think she is. But then she isn't really a judge is she, nor does she have any judgement.

I don't think anything the BBC says (or the judges) has the remotest influence on who wins.

You could make an argument for a victory by any of the celebs being beneficial to the BBC

Chelsee - BBC employee and therefore possibly easier to contract with for future work
Jason - most famous of the three and therefore more likely to attract publicity
Harry - attractive younger male - more likely to attract X factor defectors.

But since the general public vote and decide, and have certainly shown in the past that they have a mind of their own, it is all academic really.
