'The city's up-and-coming celebrities are to rock West Park in aid of BBC Children In Need. (19/11/04) ...

... For Dan, 30, and his band iceHouse, it will be their first performance since he was thrust into the limelight on the Channel Four show.

The band's single Nowhere To Run is being sent out to radio stations next week and is expected to have a release date before the charity event...'

Full story, This is Hull & East Riding, 15/10/04.

Sadly for those of us outside of Hull and it's immediate environs, we'll just have to put up with the likes of Beyonce, Frans Ferdinand, Robbie williams, Busted, and other people who actually sell records.

If Dan is successful with this record, Nichola Holt may as well quit porn, and try her luck with a follow up to The Game.

This has really made my day, hearing that news, but it's exactly what I've been expecting to happen - Dan will not fail, he has too good a voice, looks and personality after all

Me and Michelle will probably do something similar to Robbie and Nicole...

I think some Scottish BB housemates from the last two series have been approached to do some sort of mini gameshow for the Scottish regional verision of Children in Need but I'll let you know when I hear more.

You are scaring me Susann - this top 5 would really ruin my Christmas

5. Nadia - I can't spell (to the tune Genisis I can't dance)
4. Emma Greenwood - Heading for a fall (can't remember who did the original)
3. Dan Bryant - Frosty the snowman
2. Shell & Vanessa - We don't have to take our clothes off (I think Mel & Kim did the original in the mid 80's)
1. Michelle - When will I be forgotten (to tune of Bros when will I be famous)

ST

(Before I get flamed, Nadia's tune is in respect to her Balloon incident - I know it is a hard word to spell if English isn't your first langauge blah, blah, blah. But her tantrum that followed was still very funny)

Hmm this could be interesting,

Thank goodness I am not in the Scottish TV region.

Especially when you consider what Fed said about Shell and Jason in his BB5 column.....

I suspect he will be gunged first.

Will they be able to get Jason to take part though ? He doesn't seem to want to do anything since BB

Oh f**k....I think it's time to pull the plug on reality TV now.

I've just realised that they're gradually taking over and replacing professional entertainers for real now.
Don't forget that we have X-Factor finalists, Jeff Brazier winner of The Fram, and the left over scraps from any other reality show from now until Christmas.

Christmas time next year, we'll be over-run with these neo-celebs, and that will be what makes up our standard TV entertainment.
It will be the death of television as an entertainment medium.
They get on telly because their contribution to entertainment is,...err,..they've simply been on telly before.

Too f**king many of them in our faces.
They need to start culling them soon.

Except BB of course without which we wouldn't have this wonderful forum.....

I think "crap" reality TV has already killed TV as an 'entertainment medium' and that death knell sounded with the commissioning of such utter crock as I'm famous and frightened (your career is over please go away...for good) et al..I will be training a keen eye on Boxing Academy as occasionally a real gem in unearthed...fingers crossed eh..

I am sure that Shell will engineer it that way as well to make sure that she runs around the studio naked , then she will attack Fed and call him a C***, and watch him get gunged by the reaction. (She is still a nice person and no-one has seen through her yet) Jason will get gunged just because he is Jason.

I must admit that those 4 are not exactly what Scotland will be wanting to advertise thier country's "talent"

ST (using talent in a very lose sense)

If it goes to Number 1, has Dan threatened to walk out of TOTP and withdraw the single?
