Please help. I have dialled 18 times since opening (for Chelsee) but just get engaged. Is this how it normally is?

Tried several times for Harry and its always engaged.
I thought the digital networks could cope with call volumes nowadays - looks lik not enough resource.

Yes you can tell how popular someone is by not getting through. I got through once for Chelsee at the beginning of voting.
I had trouble on both my BT landline and my mobile when I first tried.
I'm still getting a "Network is busy" message with BT, but I have now managed to vote via my mobile. It did take ages, though.

Same, I've been trying to vote for Chelsee for the past 10 minutes and haven't been able to get through 
Its the same for all three I think........been trying to get a vote through since the lines opened and only managed to get through once. Just sheer volume of calls I think.

Doesn't work like that I'm afraid.
If it's engaged for one it's engaged for all. The calls go to one platform and then split dependant an the last two digits.
So if you can't get through to your favourite don't worry. Neither can anyone else

Maybe it's a good sign that they're all busy because lots of people must be voting.

I have no idea how the BBC make any money off of this show. I've managed to get through four times since the lines opened, I've just had the unobtainable tone most of the time
Bit worrying but I sit and think I've done all I can now

The BBC cannot make any money from phone votes (unlike ITV). It's against their charter

I've had the same problem AND several missed dialled tones when using the redial button after getting through.
Lines are now closed
