Love Harry's dancing, Love him as a person- but Aliona's arrogant over the series on ITT has made me really a bit annoyed that she's won
Oh well- it's not the worst result in the world- just hope Aliona gets next years Nancy

I struggle with the fact that Aliona and Ola are the only two winning women pros left in the series when to my mind they are the weakest choreographers and teachers.

I don't find Aliona remotely arrogant. She never ever buts in when Harry's speaking. Seems really pleasant to me.

Hope she gets ed milliband next year after he is ousted in favour of yvette!

I agree. She was so lucky to get Harry after Matt Baker last year. Next year should be the male no-hoper!

I'm really pleased for both of them. They deserved it.

It's clear from your comments on other threads that you can't stand Aliona. You are beginning to sound bitter.
I'm really happy for her. They both deserve the win and you should respect that they have won and get over it

She's so much better than she was last year.

"I listen to the judges, but I don't really take what they say on board"

"My one tip to a celeb, do exactly as I say without question"

"I questioned Aliona for the first time today" "It will be the last time!"

You're right, she's so selfless and humble!

I disagree. Both do good for the partners given. Aliona's choreography this year has been very good.

The only thing that makes up for Chelsee Healey losing is that Aliona won... I don't get where you are coming from... but whatever!

She never plays to the audience unlike one Russian professional I could mention, she is always polite and unlike many on here I love her choreography. Hope she gets another good'un next year

First line- I love Harry's dancing and love him as a person- incredibly bitter aren't I?
I think some of his dancing has been sublime and he deserves the trophy- and Aliona clearly is an able teacher... but personality wise...

Well, her choreography definitely improved as the series progressed, so maybe she learnt her lesson? She was clearly trying to bring out Harry's personality in the first few weeks.

Harry wouldn't have got there without Aliona, so she is a deserving winner too

However she does need a dud next year

It's mainly from ITT- and he apparent alergy to the ballroom hold :S (which made me fall even deeper in love with their Viennese Waltz when she actually kept to it for the whole dance!)

Aliona was awful in the beginning of the series but she improved towards the end. The last three weeks she knuckled down and choreographed proper dances with proper basic steps required of the genre of dance. She took the risk of doing the 'wow' factor in the beginning and going more to the purist route at the end. It was a risk that didn't pay off last year with Matt Baker, but this year it paid off. Would prefer Pasha to win, but such is the nature of the show. So good for her (and Harry, of course).

Because they both lucked out and got partners that already had a good fan base.

I like Harry but can't stand Aliona and so didn't watch the results- it was a foregone conclusion who was going to win really.

Aliona is lovely, very charming and gracious. She deserves the win as much as Harry. Far too much jealousy and bitterness on these forums.

Really, all the things that made people dislike Aliona she has removed this year or moderated. Last year people generally thought she was rubbish (even having a thread of that title) but she has proved she can absorb criticism and turn it to her advantage.

I'll go out and say for the record- when Aliona's on top of it, for example the two semi final dances and the Quickstep, I think she and her partner are superb! But these moments are made special by the fact that she is so hit and miss... and again- my main issue with her has been her attitude on ITT... and her lack of ballroom hold in Waltz, Tango and American Smooth... it's frustrating because there are moments I think she's great, and if she was more consistent with them like all the other pros, then I would gladly hand her the glitterball myself! But she's not... and I just worry she'll be insufferable next year- I wait with baited breathe to hopefully be proven wrong... but I doubt it :S

All through this series I have thought that Harry would have been better paired with Flavia.

THIS!!!

If Aliona had had Russell they would have gone out before Edwina and Nancy- with both of those sat on the floor for 90 seconds doing nothing! (With Nancy she may have got better scores )

He'd still have won.

He would, but his routines would have been far more polished.
